well done for a first grow should have some nice stuff when its done was wondering have you thought on changing your silvery walls to that white mylar plastic ??? thinking your getting alot of reflecting way the wrinkles are from it could cause you leaf burning even buds ?????
I never thought of it but I will now. I have had some burn but it was from have the light too close. I also had a bunch of CFL in there for a week and they were toughing the leaves. I was thinking that next grow I will build a grow room out of 4x8 aluminum sided insulation/foam board w/ a small A/c unit. I think that would rock the house. What do you think? I have 4 400 watt lights with MH and HPS bulbs and could build a 8X8X8 room for a hundred bucks.... I'm rambling I think.

I am flushing today for my final finish.

I had to harvest one early a couple of days ago and I am expecting to produce around an ounce of dry medicine from it.

If I get an ounce per each 20 inch plant I will be happy because next time I will shoot for 50% increase in yield. My wife is happy

Thanks, Yup it was early and the way the other plant have swollen up in the last week is very nice. Maybe I will get more than an OZ. each. I will cut them as soon as the trichs start ambering. I hope they hurry I have those other plant waiting to flower.

hey nice grow man... and if your looking for kind of a medicinal feeling then let most of the trichomes turn cloudy/amber

Winds- cloudy trichs are full of THC. When the trichs go amber it is the THC deteriorating into cannabinoids. THC- TetraHyrdaCannabinol. (technically Delta-9 Tetrahydracannabinol) THC gives you the trippy, energetic stone whereas weed higher in the degraded THC-where the THC molecule has broken down- is a more narcotic effect. Pure sativas are more THC oriented and stable whereas pure indicas are more CBD. It takes some experimenting with harvest time to get to where you like it personally. Just takes playing around with where the trichromes are at the level you like best. Longer you let em stay in the "vine" the more narcotic the stone will be- especially with an Indica or Indica dominant strain

The way the buds mature it would be next to impossible to harvest a bud where ALL the trichs are cloudy- inevitably you will have some which turn amber while the majority are cloudy, and a few still clear. Hope this helps. :)

YEah, I kinda got that, What I didn't understand so well was if the amber color was the sign of degrading THC (which creates the high) then why isn't the optimum harvest time when the majority of trichs are cloudy. I can understand if you want the couch lock and sleepy feel, then wait for them to start ambering, but if you want a more cerebral "up" high wouldn't I want to harvest when they are mostly cloudy?

You hit the nail on the head. If you want the most of the THC effect, harvest when the trichs are mostly cloudy.
So why would anyone want to wait until so many have ambered? Do people like that indica, couchlock, narcotic, sleepy stone? My wife uses this stuff for chronic migraines during the day and runs around taking care of the family. All my plants are @ 8 weeks and they look to be a sat/ind hybrid. All the trichs are cloudy with maybe a small percent still looking clear. For the highest THC level I would conclude I should chop now. Concur?

Listen to my man! I only vegged my last batch a couple of weeks and then into 12/12. They look good but the buds are small and maturing fast. I fig I will get half of what I got on my first grow but better quality. We'll see!! :bigjoint:
Thank for the advice but its a little late. I am chopping them down in a couple days.

I have only one thing to say about the lavender:
Plants, even container plants, are like a small earth. Bugs, disease, disease to the bugs, disease to the disease, mold, spores, seeds, anything can be smuggled in with another plant.

So whenever you decide to mingle your plants, make sure they are both sterile.

As in: DO NOT TAKE PLANTS FROM OUTDOORS TO YOUR GROW ROOM.
and; DO NOT CUT YOUR PLANTS WITH OUTDOOR TOOLS.

Besides that, I love your all natural idea for odor.

Oh my GOD I'm in LOVE with your plants.

That is the most beautiful case of flushing/nute deficiency in leaves I have ever seen!
