have a closet in bedroom that is 13' long 26" deep 8 high have questions about lighting . was thinking 1 600 hps cooltube every three feet .going to grow in dwc 6 plants under each light 30gallon tubs ,any info on lights fans co2 odor control and maybe where to find the best prices for the exuiptment any good info would be much appreciated thai and ben 168.jpgthai and ben 171.jpgthai and ben 169.jpgthai and ben 167.jpgthai and ben 172.jpg

sounds like u got a good plan there..all u need is some air comming in and going out,fresh air from outside is best,u can send air out into another room or outside..gonna need a couple of fans for the room also..i think heat from the lights will be an issue,u might wanna look into a stand-up a/c....or put one in the window if possible..

3 600ds sounds good to me but I dont like the cooltubes, they have a horrible hot spot issue. For co2 your going to want to seal those door real good too.


EDIR:Will you be doing soil or hydro?........ sorry not paying attention :-)

Ummmmm the co2 is the fresh air... Best to go with a sealed room.
You will need a dehumidifier too.

Wow, nice and positive.

I would section the closet off into two parts, one side for veg & the other for flower if it were me.
But three 600 watters in there would be badass. IMO 24 plants is way to much for that space, I'de scale it down.
Also what about heat in that confined space, you'll have to exhaust it into the attic/outside.
As for Co2, I use these Co2 generators (mycellium mass) called Exhales, which won't produce enough c02 to kill you but they'll help out.
As for the smell I see you already have a scrubber which I'de run in the closet 24'7. Also buy another inline fan to exhaust all the heat from each cooltube out of the closet & room.
I hope you don't plan on sleeping in there :) it'll be loud if not done properly.

Yeah thats allot of plants. Split flower and veg sounds nice too.

If you can cut a few holes you can vent your lights with air separate from the room to keep the 1500 ppm of co2 @ a constant level... Maybe a portable ac wouldn't take up too much space inside the room.... Just thinking out loud.

How much you got to spend on this?

Oh and what strains will you be growing?

thanks for the quick replies what size fan will i nee to cool that many 600's i have an ac unit in the wall right next to the door just need to duct a vent into the room planning on doing deep water culture i have 6 purple gorillas right now need to get lights and fans have a carbon filter dont think it is big enough for the space but will work for know

I would section it into 2 halfs, V + F. and light each side with 2X 400 MH + HPS (4 lamps total),(1600W) and run both MH and HPS at the same time both in the Veg side and the Flowering side. Also for venting and duct runs etc...Look into going under the floor-space (under floorboards), and to the nearest vent for both in and outakes or going up into the loft/attic and doing the same :) as for smell you would benifit from a small O-Zone generator, but carbon filters and Odor-Socs are still a must! :) and there are ways and means of making the setup run boarderline silent as well as that you can soundproof the room too :) - STELTHY :leaf:

so ur sayin turn into two diff rooms with 1600 watts in each would this give me a larger yield i have another closet 3by 5 for mother/ clone area

Where is all the hot air gonna go? The lights will be in a straight line but what will happen to your ducting before and after that? these factors are pretty important when determining the size needed.

Im in a 5'5 closet and have only one 600 watter & heat will be your biggest issue. You'll need some ac or I use a mini swamp cooler which helps out the Rh. You should have some lights in your closet, so lose the light fixtures & pull back the socket, and exhaust out through that so you wont have to create/patch any holes. It also prevents any accidental dark time disruptions. I'de run a 400cfm fan and have very few bends in the ducting.

anybody know where to get a good deal on 600 watt light kit was thinking cool tubes but someone said they cause hotspots any suggestions on lighting

Cut a hole near the floor in the wall in the middle of the doors & have that fan you already have pulling cold ac air from the room into the closet through the carbon scrubber.
Thats a nice lil project on your hands whichever path you choose.
