Co2 and ventilation

Hey Guys,

I just put a C02 Boost bucket in my tent and attached the hose to the back of my osculating fan.

My question should I turn down my vent fan or leave it where it is?

I gave a 6 inch inline fan connected to a 6 inch carbon filter and a 4 inch inline fan at the bottom to circulate air back in.

When my tent is zipped up all sides are sucked in a bit cause of the pressure from the air being vented....Can this cause my Co2 to be vented before it reaches my girls?

yes, to run co2 effectively the room needs to be sealed . This is why they make controllers that turn off a co2 regulator/generator and turn on exhaust fans.

you should just recirculate the carbon canister in the tent and seal the tent other than that if you plan on supplementing co2.

agreed you want it to be sealed and just pure CO2 consumption for a while I'll let mine sit for a couple of hours, then turn the exhaust back on to vent the Oxygen it produced and bring in fresh air

Yeah, you don't exhaust if you are using co2*, although I'm not sure I'd count a *boost* bucket as really using co2.

*Unless you make so much co2 you just fill the room / floor / house -- think gas fireplace in a basement :)

If you want to get right down to it you can (like someone I know) partially vent the water heater exhaust to the grow, that's pretty much co2.

heat would be a factor, stagnant air I don't think so since you basically can't get a truly sealed tent and isn't that the way its done in nature? the whole co2 to o2 process?

you could easily vent every whenever like someone mentioned above, I'm hungover a bit and not in that great of a form so......I may be full of misinformation/bullshit.

LOL...Maybe I will try and vent every few hours or something

well I just shut the ventilation off and within an hour my tent got to 93 degrees. It is hot out here. So I guess I will just leave them on and hope some Co2 gets to the girls. I cant risk the heat destroying them just to get some Co2 to them.
