CO2 IDEA: Dunking Dry ice in water

Dry Ice = Solid CO2

Sublimes from Solid --> Gaseous CO2 when dunked in water

Anyone every tried or ever heard of someone trying this? I feel like it would be a great way to do it if you have a store for dry ice nearby (like me )

Yeah. I recently saw a thread where a guy used it for a little bit, but ended up switching to the tank because doing it with dry ice was too expensive.

how much room was he working with?

but he did get good results (although he only used the ice for veg. by the time flower had come along he had bought a co2 tank)

shit i dont remember, because throughout the thread (which was posted all at once - the whole grow) his room expanded a couple times. I'd have to search for it. I think the main strain he had was Mazari (Started with an M and was short) and he ended up with like 200-300 clones in party cups. Sorry thats not very specific. I think the dry ice may have been used for a room that looked like it could have been 8'x4'ish?

But just think about how often youd have to buy dry ice you know? I mean, water is gonna melt it faster than if it were just sitting in air.
