I have some Philips led bars, are their chips good? I saw something here that the green power (chips?) are the highest efficiency?!

Oh yes, you're right! I mixed that up, sorry. I just checked both datasheets: Both CLU550 and CLU056 have the exact same spectrum. Basically the difference between these COBs is that the CLU056 is made of 36*18=648 chips and the CLU550 of 36*26=936 chips (so 31% more chips). I will not analyse this COB further as Citizen does not supply a calculation sheet like they did for the CLU Gen 4 and it simply takes to much time to get the lumen/watt values extracted from a datasheet... but if someone wants to do that: To get the efficiency, all one has to do is to divide Lumen/Watts through LER.
So for your 139lm/w @ 240W example, we get 139/352=0,395 -> 39,5%.
240W*0,395=94,8 PAR W ////// 35$/94,8 PAR W = 0,37$/PAR W which is very very cheap. (Comparison: CXB3590 3000K at around 39,5%, based on a price of 50$/chip -> 1,20$/PAR W)
For the 3500K CRI80 version I calculated an LER of 333,51lm/w.

Yes, $35 is a steal. I would of asked for more if I know I could get them so cheap. Unfortunately there was only 3 heat sinks availably, so I am still looking for 5 more and 4 HLG-240b.
Silvio-What info do you need? I can at least ask, I was talking to the VP of sales this morning. I can now make a dimmable 480 watt fixture and a dimmable 640 watt fixture.

I've been testing CLU046 - 4000k ra80 @1000ma, and so far, I'm quite thrilled. 3°C cooler than cxb3070 in a similar setup, and the light seems brighter. Will need a PAR meter to confirm the last part. Given the chip is 20€/pc around here, it's a clear winner for me. Also, holders for cxb3070 match perfectly.
I think overall, Citizen are very close to Vero's; sadly Bridgelux doesn't manufacture 22mm LES chips, which turns out to be the ideal COB size for my use, which means Citizen will be my next choice - provided I can find a way to get around the only-sale-to-professionals barrier.

Could you tell me why a 22mm LES is the ideal size for you?!?
Do you know the V22?...maybe it is ok for you?
Do they really only sell to pro?
Or is it only a question of quantity?
Just ask many sample on different name and adress!
I guess I should try to get samples too...did you guys said it is for a grow light or what?

1. I work with track/down lights. Doesn't cost more than DYI coolers, and saves me a lot of hassle. Most are fitted with reflectors and heatsinks able to carry max. 22-23mm LES cobs - so the switch to high power citizen or cree matching that size is possible, but not when using 3590 for a instance.
2. It was my understanding V series are not as good as Veros, but nice finding anyway.
3. Nope - read a few posts earlier. Just a weird Citizen policy to work with regional specialized resellers. You need a registered company to place an order; small quantities are not a problem. To get a sample, I had to submit a project description. Can't replicate this without beeing caught. Though they already sent me 2 chips for free... At some point, I have to go professional anyway, so it's not really a problem. Just annoying. Prices for Citizen chips are awesome though, and I'm more and more impressed by the low temps. Can't wait to have a better lux/parmeter.

They have a light pink cob if I remember well!?!...do they build this one for growing?
