CHECK OUT STINKBUDS THREAD. THE 1ST 100 PAGES ARE REALLY GOOD. I THINK ABOUT PG75 THERE ARE FULL BLUE PRINTS FOR HIS SYSTEM (AEROPONIC) PROBABLY MORE UP YOUR ALLEY IF YOUR SET ON GOING AERO. COCOPONICS IS THE BEST METHOD THATS MY OPINION AND OTHER MAY NOT AGREE.

i would add House and Gardens Drip Clean to your line up, it will help with keeping your nozzles clear... and a $20 dollar bottle will make 500 gallons of nute mix. It also will prevent a salt build up in your root system as a bonus.

ive just started my 1st grow in coco. my boyfriend has been growing in coco from a few months an i have seen the difference in growing in soil an growing in coco.
just wondered with coco, can u allow the plant to rootbound itself an it will b ok?

just understand that coco allows plants to get a good amount of root growth. so if you are going to let it get root bound you are going to be feeding it a lot more frequently, for me that is the only drawback. what i do after my clones take root is either start them in a 1gal pot and after a four week veg and 24hrs of dark, i transplant into a 3gal pot for flower, or i just have them vegging, and flowering in the 3 gal pot. each way works pretty good for me. btw cograts on your decision to use coco what type/brand are you using?

that's exactly what i use, it is awesome. just an fyi, in my opinion you can use regular tap water for you nutes and end up with the same results that you would using the more expensive r/o or bottled water, unless your tap water can't be ph'd to the correct ph range listed on the bottle. you are more than welcome to visit my journal and check out what i got going if you'd like.

depending on the quality of your tap water... if you have good tap water (200 ppm or under) than it will give you better yields than water with 0 ppm when using the canna line of nutes. Bring a sample of water to your local hydro shop and ask them to test it, or buy a tds meter.

Just wanted to say thanks for all the info on coco. Been growing in it for 18 days and I cant believe the difference over soil. The roots just love it and the organics were using. Cant wait to see how they grow for the plants entire life span. Maybe it's the strain or whatever but the roots developing in coco are blowing away what we had seen in soil. Thanks again.

if you are using canna coco as your medium than you DO want the coco A+B, so you did right.
I personally wouldnt mix in that much perlite but some people do.
its not really needed if you are in the correct size pot, imo.
Canna says not to mix in more than 10% perlite, but a couple of years ago they were saying as much as 25% was acceptable... I dont use any because i dont think its worth the trouble, but it wont hurt anything.

i mix in like 15% give or take when i plant seeds in 4" pots... but besides that i dont trouble with it...
I know that some other nutrient companies recommend adding perlite to canna's coco when using their nutes, but canna does not.

In the UK, you can get New Horizon Organic Compost with coco. It is an organic compost/coco blend. Personally, I don't see the point, apart from the fact the medium has some nutrient content in it. But part of the appeal of coco for me is that fact that it is totally inert and you have complete control over the medium.
