yeah chef its one of those pacific northwest states. and even sub and dioxide had a bitch of a time getting the genetics from what i understand. if it was true BCS you would know. purple/red/maroon buds and smells like the soda, thus the name. i hate to say but i dont think its the real BCS.

there are 2 very real possibilities that im thinking in regards to your plant tho, Rae:
1. ex-tga breeder suny cheba made a Black Cherry(not to be confused with BCS) which is Dannyboy x Black Russian. the Black Russian male has long since been lost, but it could be a Black Cherry and your source just got confused. still that Black Cherry is just as rare if not more rare than the BCS since black cherry was created years ago and was not an official release and Black Cherry Soda is a more modern/current strain.
2. your dude got some Ace of Spades(BCS x JTR) and a couple of things happened. he was hoping for the BCS pheno of AoS and so he is calling it BCS, or that situation happened with whomever gave him the cut. could have been a miscommunication. who knows

Im leaning towards number 2. cant smell the flower through the computer but bud structure kinda looks like JTR to me. maybe its AoS with JTR type growth but BCS smell. could even be a Plushberry but bud doesnt look like PB to me.

not trying to burst your bubble but this is what i am led to believe. trust, i wanted you to have a real BCS cause i would hunt you down, find you, and somehow convince you to give me a cut. either way it is still beautiful medicine so great job none the less!

Cool, thanks Murder, I can tell you she smells definitely like a soda or I kind was thinking Juicy Fruit gum, so who knows. She has so many crosses in her who knows which pheno she might be. No bubbles burst her here since we didn't really know her genetics. She was fun to grow.

I recently switched from Supersoil to The Rev's True Living Organic method. I was generally happy with SS but my space is small so I must use small (4 gallon) pots. I also like to grow large plants.

The plants ran out of gas too soon with SS where they don't with TLO.

They each have pros and cons. My limiting factor is pot size so tlo works better for me. With bigger pots or smaller plants I'd probably still be using Supersoil. Transplanting is more time consuming and complicated with TLO because you are creating little pockets of hot soil rather than just making two distinct layers, but that is how he gets away with stuffing more food in a smaller container without burning the plant.

Not when your container won't hold anymore soil. I feel SS should always be run with a compost tea regiment, and a "hot" tea can give a hell of a feeding. But i will never question Meds growing tech unless it is to refine my own, better buds are basically impossible to find. You are an amazing grower Med, thanks for the samples the other weekend, they really are on the top of my list for quality.

Thanks T! That means a lot coming from you. The Widow was grown TLO style and the GD 99 (I think that's the other one I gave you) was in Supersoil. The flavor of that GD 99 is really nice. MG did a good job on that cross...

I think the Colorado nerds need a place to hang out and share info pics what have you. I'm thepaintedchef aka Sammy chanclas. Weednerd since before the morning show turned into the weednerd. If you don't know who or what the weednerds are you'd better ask some body. My next grow will be blue j (oregon blues x jilly bean). Hope to hear from you guys.
I will be there next year, any suggestions on places to live? Close to Denver?

Denver, as does any bigger city, has its trashy parts, its cool parts, its hipster parts, its little Mexico parts, its overly expensive just because parts, its ghetto parts, its really laid back parts, its really family friendly parts, etc. You just have to find what you're looking for. Tell us a little more of what you're looking for and I'm sure we can offer some good suggestions.

Cheers!

BCS came from subcool and his guys. I've actually driven to NorCal for a couple slips that turned into a cherrypez x black Domina and was very sad. I would love to find a good BCS cut.
