Blazing LoL ain't that some sh*t, I used my last years tax dollars to get into the hobby.
Nice 400w should work nice for you and few of your girls, I started of with CFL's and autos, moved on my last auto grow to a 400w, at first I was very sceptical as my box is freaking small lol but with a good ventilation it all worked out just fine, my temps never go over 80F I mean during colder months, summer time I can't grow it's to hot.

"Acid your thread inspired me to get the 400" WoW buddy nice to hear that.

Matt is a great guy, he took me under his "wing" when I was just starting out in this hobby and he led the way, the way he explains shit, his love for the this hobby for me that guy is my "growing guru" lol if it wasn't for him I don't think I would stick around in this hobby of ours :weed:

It wasn't expensive. $8 bucks for 32 oz. I only use it on my seedlings. (bout 2-3 weeks)

I still have like 9/10 of it left after a grow.

Acid you must be way south of me , find you a mini fridge if your a diy kinda guy and make the innerds work in you benifit. This drought sh$t is killin us all man. I'm in the outdoor business and it has killed me. But it should get better. He seems from thread to be a legend he has taught you well
Ms.tasty that's not to bad so you only use it for seedling? It was 5-1-1 pretty low didn't. Know if it could be used all through veg but compared to what I'm gonna use 30-10-10. 1/4 dose to start then raise an 1/8 till she tells me to stop. How's your lil babe doing? Mine have a the lil "stingers" comeing as it is devolping(where the preflower start) so I hopeing I have the right bulbs in. Current space is 2.5'wx2.5dx3'h. I seem to have gone retarded since last grow, thought I would remember everything and not have a need to wright it down. Mission medicated accomplishehed cause I don't remember anything but the rando bit I wrote down. Love to backtrack and relearn, lesson learned

Wow your cfl grow turned out awesome! I hope mine turns out as well as yours. My first grow I used a 400w HPS throughout and it was just too hot so the plants were all burnt and crispy. This time around im running floros and so far they are looking much healthier.

Thank you! =)

Topping helped my second plant get more light. I recommend topping and side lighting during flowering for cfl/flourescents.

Day 11 Transplant

IMG_0616.jpgIMG_0617.jpg

So I transplanted today into a larger pot. The tap root was starting to go around the bottom of the 4" pot.

I won't be using these brown jiffy pots any more. It is hard to get the soil out of it, and the roots had started to attach themselves to the bottom!! I had to be extremely gentle getting the bottom off.

I will just use solo cups or small round plastic pots from now on for starters.

There she is. :weed:

I just used reg water for her transplant. I expect the pot will be ready for ferts in about a week.

Will prob be using maxigrow then. It is 10-5-14

Yes he did ;)

I think you are more south from me then I'm from you ;) you said "Huskers" in one of your posts Huskers=Nebraska am I right? if that's so I'm a bit NE of you.
Hm I think I'm a DIY guy, build my grow box by myself, I mean I got some help from people here on RIU but all the putting together etc. was done by me.

I topped my white widow twice and my big bomb once and took 2 clones off of each. Ive never tried cloning before so i doubt they will live, i pretty much just cut them off and stuck them in moist soil. The way i looked at it was that i wanted to clean up the bottoms of the stems before i switched to flowering so even if one of the clones makes it then it was worth it lol

Okay to start of flame looking good she is b e a utiful. Hope all goes well with her new home
Acid right on man I don't get it then, not trying to pry but temps here in the summer can easily hit 105+ for months and I grow on the top floor. But I have hit 94 in the grow room before...94=bad sh*t. how the fruity coming? Sorry haven't check it out yet but will when done here
As far as hubert my lil gal not a lot new just added two more cfl for a total of for a total of 6400lumens and a total of 104watts. Come to find out I had two 23w 5500k bulbs going so I yanked them out and replaced with the 26w 6500k.
Gave the first nutes as of ten minutes ago 1tsp for 4gal of water(1/4 strength) took a pic before so that I can tell how it effects her
Flame I will start my own thread tommorow so as not to take up yours

it isn't necessarily bad to have blue spectrum bulbs during flowers, but just make sure the majority are 2700ks. I think it is better to have a fuller spectrum of lights because the plant is still absorbing both spectrum of light. But that's just my opinion...

Blazing, Fruity is doing just great, I'll have some pictures later in the day I also turned the timer to 12/12 last night so let the fun begin ;)
You can get some bigger cfls at Home Depot or Lowes if you got any close by where you live they got like 68w or 64w red cfls (2700K) for like $14 or so.
Or you can get a 150w or 250w mh/hps and it will work in your fav. in the end, you can get a diy kit for hps and mh and I think it's cheaper to put together the ballast your self.

el100infopic1.jpgView attachment 2505874 As you can see the difference between MH and HPS is that HPS needs the ignitor to run the HPS bulb. You can talk to Matt I think he build one of those hps kits, but it's really easy to do it, I my self bought a hps light and ballast in one unit so I took it apart and went remote, so I got the ballast outside my box.

Yeah 6500k for Veg. 2700k for flow. :) I think 3300k works too ;)

It's a good idea to mix spectrum's in 3:1 ratio during veg. and later during flow. So just switch them around let's say you use 4 lamps for veg so 3 6500k and 1 2700k and later other way around 3 2700k and 1 6500k.
