Connecting a drain to NFT fence posts

Hey all,

I'm putting together a small NFT using 4" vinyl fence posts. I'm trying to seal most of the system, and am opting for 1-1/4" PVC for the drain pipes. I thought I'd connect the PVC to the end of each run using a PVC flange, however the flange is 5" in diameter--even smaller PVC pipes still have flanges that are too large.

Does anyone have any recommendations for attaching drain pipes to the end of NFT channels that maintains a totally sealed environment (and looks good... this is for a display).

Thanks!

I'd drill through the bottom and use bulkhead fittings. That is how I connected mine but they were 8" pipe.

I don't use a drain on my fence post systems but have you thought about a shower drain. You can find a small one for under $10 and it even has a screen and rubber seal. You can find them with different size pipe fittings. I was actually looking into some sort of a drain myself for my new design but decided to stick with nothing.
