LONDON (AP) — Queen Elizabeth II and the royal family back the Black Lives Matter movement, one of her senior representatives said in a television interview to be broadcast Friday.

Philanthropist Kenneth Olisa, the first Black Lord Lieutenant of Greater London, told Channel 4 News that he had discussed the issue with members of the royal family since George Floyd died in police custody in the United States last year, sparking global protests over racial injustice.

Asked if they supported the movement, the philanthropist and businessman who is the monarch’s personal representative in Greater London said: “The answer is easily yes.”

“I have discussed with the Royal Household this whole issue of race, particularly in the last 12 months since the George Floyd incident,” he said in excerpts from the interview released before the broadcast. “It’s a hot conversation topic. The question is what more can we do to bind society to remove these barriers. They (the royals) care passionately about making this one nation bound by the same values.”

The comments come as Buckingham Palace struggles to combat suggestions of racism raised by the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, also known as Prince Harry and Meghan, during a March interview with Oprah Winfrey.

Meghan, who is biracial, said an unidentified member of the royal family had raised “concerns” about the color of her baby’s skin before she gave birth to her first child. The couple also alleged that Meghan was the victim of callous treatment during her time as a working royal.

Prince William, Harry’s older brother, was forced to respond after reporters shouted questions at him during a visit to an East London school.

“We’re very much not a racist family,” William said as his wife, Kate, walked by his side.

Harry and Meghan stepped away from royal duties earlier this year and moved to California.

The walker, who did not wish to be named, said: “I removed these signs from the windows on the pavilion. I went to have a closer look as there has been a lot of A4 signs about the park regarding BLM, but nothing this extreme.

“There was one more about kids that I could not peel off. I removed what I could. There have been a lot of signs, but nothing this bad.”

The flyers, which purport to be from campaigners Black Lives Matter and anti-fascist group Antifa, come weeks after the death of George Floyd in police custody in Minneapolis, in the US.

Outrage and protests have spread across the world, with demonstrations also in the UK.

But, despite the flyers being emblazoned with hashtags appearing to support Black Lives Matter and Antifa, campaigners say someone else is responsible.

Joy Gansh, a local BLM activist, believes the display was created to discredit the movement.

She said: “Things like that, after what happened with the George Floyd mural being defaced, I think that’s something a white supremacist would put up to discredit us.

“Nobody that I’ve seen advocating the BLM movement would think that is appropriate.

“My personal opinion is a way to make us seem in the wrong.”

The art student, who plans to organise a BLM march in Dundee soon, believes “white supremacists” are using false posters to encourage violence.

“People who hold those kinds of beliefs aren’t part of this movement,” she added.

“This seems like a way to stop us in our tracks and make us seem violent so they can come back with violence.

“We aren’t here for violence, we’re just here for justice and equality in all aspects of life.”

Local Antifa-affiliated campaigners agreed, saying the posters were nothing to do with them.

A spokesman for the Anarchist Collective said: “A genuine BLM activist would not single out someone’s skin colour to talk about police violence and they certainly wouldn’t claim to be Antifa.”

DANVERS, Mass. (AP) — A Massachusetts tourist farm called police on a Black couple it accused of stealing six apples and is now apologizing after the family went public in a blog post.

Manikka Bowman and Jeff Myers said in the post that they visited Connors Farm in Danvers on Labor Day, spending more than $100 on admission, apple picking, food and drinks.

But the Cambridge, Massachusetts, couple said they were confronted by farm staff over six apples that did not fit into the prepaid apple-picking bag.

They said that the overflow fruits were in their child’s stroller and that they intended to pay for them at the farm store, where they also planned to buy cider donuts.

Bowman, who is a vice chair of the city’s school committee, said that a security guard instead searched her purse, and that the manager called police when the couple demanded the farm owner’s contact information.

The responding officer, the couple added, accused them of “playing the race card.”

“By jumping straight to an assumption of theft, Connors Farm created a scene, harassing us and causing our 7-year-old to burst into tears, anguish that lasted well into the evening,” the couple wrote. “We are left wondering, was it ever about the apples?”

The farm, in a Facebook post Thursday, said it apologized to the family and will ensure staffers “undergo diversity, equity and inclusion training.”

Then after decades of inescapably shitty methods to maintain power over these communities the Wealthy Melanin-lite Heterosexual Human Male agenda spend the next several decades decreasing the tax base of Detroit and keeping the city from having a influence on state/national level government so they could make sure those suburbs didn't have to do things like pay taxes to help keep the Detroit schools up to date.

It is crazy how direct of a line it is from the burning down of the towns in the early 1900's to the moving of the non-melanin-lite people into cities, systematically cutting them out of the generational wealth that came with the suburban sprawl, dividing them from those suburbs using highways, to the civil rights era in the 50-70's finally ending government's ability to use it's power to suppress anyone not a 'white man' (which gets picked up by the private citizens (and cops) to suppress minorities) and the 80/90's when those police become militarized.



Which shows up in the prison population stats.



And to be sure that the suburbs keep the power, they gerrymandered the power away from the cities and made sure that their taxes were not used to improve Detroit.



And now the Republicans in our state are pushing to try to get a voting initiative that the Republicans could then pass that our Governor would not be able to veto to steal away our ability to easily vote in non-gerrymandered districts.

And to be able to get away with it, the GQP programs all kind of shitty trigger words like 'BLM', 'CRT' 'Woke', etc to avoid people from being able to have these kinds of conversations because the madder their voters are, the better their chances at keeping their ability to only legislate for the interests of the Wealthy Melanin-lite Heterosexual Human Male agenda.
