lets do it this way, i got a person out in my hen house stealing chickens i throw down on him and he reaches for his waist band like he has a gun, guess what happens next.
You should be able to shoot him on your property stealing your stuff-But you can't, you have no right to self defence. A phamacist was just found guilty of first degree murder for killing an armed robber during an armed robbery in his pharmacy. You should have the right to defend yourself and your property. Law enforcment should not have the right to murder at will and go breaking into homes and buisnesses to steal from and murder citizens or raise revenue to support their opperations at gun point or with the threat of death or kidnapping and imprisonment. A cop should have the same right to a gun and to use that gun as any citizen has.

He probably told the police something really stupid like he shot him because he didn't want to lose money. If he had just said "He was going to kill me, it was self-defense" he'd be a free man. Or maybe this is in some really messed up state. :peace:

what ever happened with that train cop shooting? Did they bring charges against the cop?
They convicted him-The BART shooting? The cop who murdered the guy on video in oakland? He got convicted and went to jail.....
And already got out on an early release.

Cop - 'You saw this man reach for his weapon right? It would really be a public service if you think real hard about it. Blah blah blah.'
Same cop who just shot and killed this guy for not obeying His order right?
Think most people would go with his story instead of getting shot, I bet if a bystandred started yelling murder and trying to call 911 to report the cop as a murderer with a gun the cop would have popped him to

This was an interesting story, feelings could go either way with this one.

When a 2 ton vehicle is involved I would think you can consider that a weapon.

It was because he shot him a few times after he was already shot and down after calling 911 while he was waiting for them to show. He blasted the kid then got the phone then popped him a couple more times.-
For the record, the guy in this story might have been an asshole and I might have shot him if I were in the cops position, I don't know. But the storys I hear of cops shooting people especially unarmed people bother me as does the way the cops seem trained to approatch people and patrol or whatever you call it, many seem very agressive and like an occupying force riding around grilling everyone or walking around all juiced up with their hand by their gun or buzzing around with the helicopters- It's cool I know we need some laws and leo's but what happened to peace officer or serve and protect or public servant? Their supposed to work for us. Their not supposed to rule over us. Or use us as a revenue source.

yes they're supposed to be peace officers. also sometimes if they scream an order at you and you can't understand them they think it's you resisting and use force.

if i were that pharmacist i'd get a good lawyer and claim it was because he was in shock or something, which he probably was

If your in a life and death situation (which i highly doubt you have been, but if you have then you know what im talking about.) then you know things can happen in a split second because of adrenaline. No matter what at the end of the day the cop is still a human and can only react the way he thinks is necessary for the situation, And on the topic of tazing someone with a knife i have personally seen videos were people have been tased and were still able to attack the person tazing them. Ill include a pic of what "just a knife" can do to you.

his ex-girlfriend called in and said he "may have stole some jewelery" from her. SHE SAID he had a knife. SHE SAID he had hit her a few days prior. as the cops were headed to her house they saw a car matching the suspects description pass them in the opposite direction. they flipped a Uy and the pursuit started.

even if it was a weapon in his waistband, the call came in as it being a KNIFE. nothing a tazer wouldn't stop.

Man Dies In Santa Rosa Officer-Involved Shooting

Posted: 7:20 am PDT June 2, 2010
SANTA ROSA -- One man was dead after what began as a suspected burglary and high-speed chase ended in an officer-involved shooting outside the Coddingtown Mall. Deputies responded at about 4:52 p.m. Tuesday to reports of a burglary at the La Mancha Apartments on Old Redwood Highway in Larkfield. A woman there had called the sheriff's office after her ex-boyfriend, whom she suspected of stealing jewelry, reportedly confronted her, sheriff's Lt. Chris Spallino said in a statement issued late Tuesday. The name of the suspect was withheld pending positive identification and the notification of his next of kin, and the identity of the involved deputy is being withheld while the case is under investigation, Spallino said. The woman told a dispatcher with the sheriff's office that the suspect was armed with a knife and had assaulted her a few days prior. When the first deputy arrived at the scene, the suspect took off past him, driving south on Old Redwood Highway. As the suspect attempted to evade the deputy, he barreled down the highway at speeds over 90 mph while recklessly passing on the left and right of other vehicles, Spallino said. ...........................................

I'm a fan of Singapore style justice. Which is not popular in the touchy-feely hearts of most of my fellow Americans.

But to answer your question, yes, if someone steels and runs, I think they should be shot down as well. It would curb crime big time. If you know you're not going to make it, you're going to think twice, then think twice again before you steal shit from me.
You are fucked up dude.
Drug trafficking

Narcotics laws established by the Misuse of Drugs Act are very strict. Anyone caught with more than 15 grams (0.53 oz) of heroin (diamorphine), 30 grams (1.1 oz) of cocaine or morphine, 250 grams (8.8 oz) of methamphetamine, or 500 grams (18 oz) of cannabis faces mandatory capital punishment, as they are deemed to be trafficking in these substances.[20] The stated quantities are the net weight of the substances after they have been isolated by laboratory analysis. Between 1991 and 2004, 400 people were hanged in Singapore, mostly for drug trafficking, one of the highest per-capita execution rates in the world.[13]
Also how is killing someone before they have been deeemed guilty singapore style justice? Even with their totally fucked up justice system you need to be convicted before being killed.
