No but digging around will. Try to just leave it to dry. You want those roots searching down for wet soil

Another question when the time comes to start feeding nutes it's says to add 1-2 ml per litre of water do I feed the whole litre of water at once??

No, only water until you get a small amount of runoff. Those numbers just establish the proper ratio of water to nutrients for your solution.

That's usually what I do. I water slowly, close to the base of the plant, then let the first couple inches of the medium become completely dry before watering again. When they are that small you want to err on the side of caution because they are so easy to over water. Don't worry if the edges of the medium are a little dry as long as it's damp in a circle a few inches wide (7-8cm would be the metric equivalent I think?) around the plant.
