Couple of small questions.

Hi, everybody! :hug:

I'm a total newbie to growing. This forum is great, I could find almost all the necessary info I need. However, I need some help with these questions:

1). When my plant reaches the top of my ~75cm growbox - should I cut it? If yes how, if no - what should I do?

2). Some sources say that in DWC method only a small part of the cup's bottom must be immersed in water, some sources say that the bottom must be slightly higher than water level and some sources advise using flints. What is correct? How to make flints?

3). What is the best lighting ratio? 8 hours lights off, 16 on? Does this include cooling (my small growbox uses 120mm PC cooler for intake, 80mm - outtake) and aerator. Do I need to turn them off too or they must run 24/7?

4). LST and Sea-Of-Green methods. Your opinions and hints?

1. Cut the top of your plant before it reeaches the top of your grow box. Your plant will strecth atleast x2 during flowering.

2. start at the bottom of the cups and then let the water level drop every once in a while so that a coulple of inches of roots are showing. The plants love it.

3. 18 on for veg. 12 on for flower. Works well with most all strains.

4. Personal pref. plus strain dependant. Some do not like topping, LST works on most. But do something. You do not have the room for vertical growth.

big lst fan herethink theres a few pictures on my profile of a plant that was veged 3 months and was like 10" tal with like 30 tops
18/6-12/12
if ya cant bend it enuff you may need to cut it
