how is your soil pH?

word, and hey, I, being a dipshit, went out and bought litmus papers to test the pH.. and I guess they kind of work, but they're impractical for testing the pH of anything non-liquid, like soil...

so now, what im looking in to, and i would reccomend to you, are these combination pH/PPM/TEMP meter.. digital ones.. they're a little pricey, but ebay has them for decent prices... and yeah, be careful with that light

I have a PH meter and It's sitting right at 6.5 so Im not really sure what Im doing wrong.

yellowing can be from so many things!..it kinda sucks!....was ur soil still wet when u came back?and those lil brown spots...i dunno wtf that could be from...how hot is it from ur light to the tips of ur plant?

u might of over watered b 4 u left...dont worry though they'll come back...its 75 degrees from the light to the tip of the plant?

yeah bro, i asked about ph because without pics its very hard to tell you whats going on, ph is one of the most basic issues, so if we start basic and eliminate stuff early, when you get pics up we can diagnose better.

how far away is your light?

Yeah im going to get my brothers digi camera after work and take some good pics. Light is around 2 feet or so from plants. And the temp at where the plants are (like gauge is sitting right next to plant) stays around 72-78... going to try to snag a fan today as well. A couple of them are looking really nice though :D

lol... goto like a pet store, dunno what your location is but like north west seed and pet would have some. or most local garden stores. Or like the garden section in like say fred n meyers or K-mart or something.

yah dude i got a lot of local garden centers here, they all have the same shit...lol...big ass ceramic pots..i was pissed man..maybe cause its winter and we got like 4-5 foot walls on snow on the sides of the roads...i bet no ones bought a pot or soil in months from any of the stores...i think im gunna just have to order a bunch of diff. pots..
