Would a 120V input, 12V output AC adapter power a computer fan or would it burn it out? Splice the wires? How about hooking two fans up to one of them? Would that work too?

Awesome. I ordered some fans off of Newegg, should be here in a few days. I have one AC adapter from my old cell phone. Anyone know a place cheaper than Radioshack ($14.99 - 19.99) to get another one?

Radio shack will give you the greatest selection. You could even order them online if you don't mind waiting. Look for adapters with the highest output amperage rating. If you can, find one in the 2-5A range. You can run 5 or more fans with that.

You can also use an old computer power supply with some minor modification to power as many fans as you need.
