yup thats my problem to switching to scrog is you have to keep them in your flower room on 18/6 till the screen is full....I do not see a way to mouve the plants in my situation w full screens....

Sorry fellas - been away for a couple days.
How big-a plants are we speaking? For your particular program MB... if you switched to SCROG, or something different and lost a full flower cycle per year. Would you make that same yield (more?) back by culturing plants twice as large? Ex. If your plants finish at 3.5 ft. now, finish them about ~6.
I'm not a scrog proponant, and I do realize not everyone has huge ceilings.

well i am new to this i have a refrigerator grow started i am using a 12v computer fan for air intake and 6 CFL 23w 1600 lumen 2700k. The plant is beautiful and i think might be female not sure yet. I have a total of 2 frig units one that is totaly gutted and one that still has the freezer section in it. I am thinking about a veg cloner for the two chamber unit and flowering only for the gutted one right now the only frig in use is the gutted as was the first aquired. Day 1 (after germinating them) was dec 5th and now a month later this is how the one looks i started 5 and kept the best one hoping to Scrog her as i have already started the LST and it is working great when i started LST i had 4 growing shoots in the week since i now have 9 growing shoots and more apear every day. I am seeing a average of .25" growth a day now. I know that the color is wrong but these were free and thats why i started I was given 4 AK47 seeds and 16 autoberry seeds i am waiting for the 1 ak47 to finish befor i start more seeds as i need money for more lights and fans things are tight you know i am sure and stealth is always important. I live in the northern states where it gets cold at night if any of you have a idea on how to keep tem up when lights off cause air never stops. woried about the tem droping to low will a small tem controled radiant heater work or am i asking for trouble. I had a friend suggest a heating pad under a pan of water to help with humidity also. ANY IDEAS OR HELP WELCOME

To be honest, i've never done SCROG but i spent a lot of time researching and pondering before i started my current setup. After the research, i'm not sure that the benefits outweigh the drawbacks for me.

Depends on how cold you are talking. I run my lights overnight to help with the temps but the room holding the tent only gets to the low 60's generally. If you are talking about temps dropping into the 50's i'd look at increasing the temp with a space heater. Don't blow hot air directly on the plants though.

I'm sure your correct there MB. You need a whole lot of light to grow really big plants, and the flowers are all very large making most mold prone as well. Not everyone has the space, height, monthy bill money, etc to support that craziness and all the extras that comes along with it.
However I have personally seen a mostly sativa strain consistently yield 8oz. + per plant. Substitute that for a higher yielding strain and I can't imagine the results.
Like I said I'm not a proponent of that or scrog. I just like to keep my mind busy.

I'll post some pics or a lil vid of my flower room, just finishing up tree style grow, using vertical bulbs...I used 7 400HPS for this, amd whyleI'm pleased with results, I would like to not have any lower branches at all next time....hate trimming them...

Just an update on my current projects ....
These pics are of the (4) NLB's that are today, on Day 19 of Flower. IMO, and correct me if I am wrong, they look pretty good. I am, as well as can be overly excited, about the developments since the last time I posted pics of these. Any and all suggestions are always welcomed.
.... And these are the (2) Red Cheery Berries that I almost threw out for lack of growth and they looked pretty bleak just 10 days ago. I personally want to thank the "gifter" for PM'ing me just in time (Before I made that tragic mistake) in giving them just a little bit more time. As the saying goes ... "What a Difference a Day Makes!"
I also (This morning, January 7th), garnered (4) clones from (2) of the NLB's that are flowering, and placed them into my newly erected clone station. Hopefully in a couple of days, i will be able to post some pics of them, with some new growth on the tops and bottoms of them.
I cannot say this enough, but I want to thank each and every one of you for helping me out. I am not a troll on here, but someone who is like a giant sponge, and want so very much to gain as much knowledge, and friendships, along this path that I choose, to grow out MY medicine of MY Choice. Thanks so very much for bearing with me.

I mentioned seed's I was running. I got a few that resulted from a one strain grow - one of the two I did hermied on me. This isn't a project, just having fun because I have other plants/strains to procure my meds. Also, most of you know my obsession to analyze and study everything - so why not plant third generation hermies. I'm not going to rewrite literature but I might learn and see some fun stuff first hand!
Anyways. The below is quite expected... I recently read in a gene study that 1,000 monoecious and 2,000 dioecious specimen are needed to maintain the genetic resources of each plant type with 95%+ effiency. Reduce that down to a dozen, or in my case... 2, I'm sure your bound to lose some info in there! Haha.
So here we have it. I sowed 20 seeds and picked only the best "looking" 4 after a few days. A real experiment would have went much longer or not culled any seeds at all. A few days in, the weakest one hit the floor somehow. Aw well. We have three now and all are 3 bladed so far, they are also visually very close matches. Two specimen have small leaflets protruding from the base. When they are a little older I will count to see if both exhibited this growth on the same nodes. That would be interesting.
For sure this is a facinating plant, for it's chemical production and genetic variation!

So if you (more so than I) are correct, these would be exactly the same throughout their life? Sort of like identical triplets to the max? If so, then would everything ... all the way through until smoked ... would be the very same? I am intrigued to say the least on this "Study"

Need some opinion and feedback with something that I just had to do this morning. My temps were getting a little too high in my flowering cab and so I installed the 6 inch inline fan, along with some ducting. Because of area, I had to mount the inline fan, directly into the hood, with no ducting that I had seen on a lot of designs over the internet. Is this going to work, or do I need to place at least 6 inches of ducting between the hood and the fan?
As always ... thanks in advance. Now all I have to get is a 6 inch to 4 inch reducer for the Carbon filter ( The CF was a "Damn Nice Gift" from a Fellow Maine Patient on here), so that is why the difference in the opening. Also, I may have to get a fan controller, so that would help as well. Comments on that aspect as well would be helpful.

I will tell you what. They grew pretty close to identical to eachother (2nd generation), and they smoked exactly 100% like the 1st gen. So 3rd gen, I think you hit it on the nose "Identical triplets 'to the max'", both in structure, and smoke.
We will see! That's what is fun about working with plants and animals (as opposed to chemicals and machines)... one doesn't have to be fully educated in the field to take notes with a pen and paper.That little CF is an awesome gift!! Pat on the back to the donor of that!! 6 to 4 is an odd conversion... would a hydro shop have that?
I don't think where you mounted the fan is bad, however I think I read that those inlines have slightly more "boosting" power - ie. placed in the middle of the system somewhere like you are asking. Wait for better advice!!

I think I am in anal when it comes taking notes with pen and paper (even when I go on the throne do do a quick word find) and when I take jots down on things with my grow(s). The CF was and is a wonderful Godsend, and I know that "The Gifter" will be getting something in great return from Santa

I just recently cropped out an AC Diesel, Cheese, and Pineapple Chunk. I have Kali Mist plant left, 11 1/2 weeks into flowering. She will be done very soon. Here is a picture of all of them before they got chopped. This was my first true harvest.
AC (Amsterdam City) Diesel yielded me 56.8g Dried.
Cheese was a good crop out, with 93.3 grams dried.
Pineapple Chunk is still drying.

I have ordered a 76x76x76 grow tent, and I have purchased a Big Kahuna hood, along with a 6 inch 400cfm inline fan with a fan speed controller. I will also be purchasing a light mover withing the next few weeks.

Appreciate it. This was my second grow, but first real harvest. I just received my card in august of 2011.
Haha and your right, that big kahuna is a large hood! HTG is a great store for equipment.
Also, how do you like the NLB? I got it as a freebie when I ordered the rest of my seeds. Any problem so far?
