Somango47 taproot barely broke shell and stopped there. Still no germ on the cheese x blues.

Thankfully got some more fresh on the way.


Looking forward to running these along with the sweets and cookie truffle shuffle

New PH probe for the nute rez, seems it creeps up. Will keep a close eye on it. Calibrated it several times just to make sure.


I noticed some spider mites on some philodendron and alaccasia cuttings I had bought for my upstairs aquariums. I was on the fence for buying a canna fogger due to the price point but the mites convinced me it was worth it. Time will tell, my biggest con is it needs a trigger function. The on off switch and buttons are on the back of the unit requiring second hand operation. Not to mention overall size would make it difficult to navigate a tightly packed tent. Overall, in hindsight I’d probably been just as happy with one the $25 ones all over amazon. Time will tell on build quality.

After 16hr started to see germination. So far:

The Sweets 0

Fist seedlings are popping. Geisha Breath #1 was the winner followed by Rainbow Sugar #3 in second place. I see the sweets #2 is a tentative 3rd.

Your methods are def not nube level mate. Nubes don't f with tissue culture and the level of instrumentation and automation that you have in your watering build.

Great to see that have seeds breaking ground. I'll be watching this one, will be interesting to see how it turns out.

If I can give any advice it would be to take your feed chart and drop everything by 50%. 0.8 - 1.5 ec depending on stage of growth is plenty. The nute companies that suggest stupid EC's of 2-4 are just trying to sell more products. You might get better results from some strains by pushing them harder but other strains will go full lock out in no time. It's always better to run low to gain experience then try higher strength feeding when you know your plants better.

Thanks for that, I was thinking EC rec of 3.0 in veg seemed a little heavy handed. I tried to keep the nute mix for seedlings low. Didn’t want to burn them but also wanted to give them a light taste. I still certainly feel noobish. Especially trying to balance my PH. Mixing a gallon for seedlings was like: 2ml ph down and it only drops ph to 6.4 add a couple more drops aaaaand fuck, 4.3

Mix up some of the pH adjuster in a glass of water. You'll have less fuck ups like that.

I get what you’re saying, I’ll def give that a try next time so it’s not such a big swing. I spent a little bit time last night working on the AC infinity controller settings and taking ppfd readings to gauge appropriate light intensities. Pretty surprised the original map I posted was fairly accurate. I still need to pick up a humidifier soon af.

Hey D3, what are you spraying' thru that fogger for your cannabis? I've thought about getting one before for my vegetable garden but haven't pulled the trigger yet?

I’m using athenas IPM and Stack one is pest management and other is for foliar feeding. They can be mixed in the same sprayer. I see a huge difference in my philodendron cuttings since beginning treatments. Much healthier and vibrant.

I made a shield for my sensor and moved my driver to outside of the tent. Doesn’t seem like it a huge temp difference but looks cleaner inside at least.




finally got around to programming the irrigation timer. For right now it starts an hour after lights on for 10 seconds and repeats every hour until 4pm. I brought the media up to field capacity just before lights off. I’ll check on it when I wake up in the morning and monitor a few irrigation events. The Intent is to slowly build up the ec over the course of the morning and begin to run off towards the 8th-9th watering around 3-4pm. Then I’ll set maintenance shots as needed till lights off.
My initial gut feeling is that 10 seconds may be too long.

Still a lot to learn and thankfully ironing some things out before they hit the pots. Learned I needed to buffer my coco first. I emptied the pots, followed dr coco’s procedure for washing and buffering. Currently on second 8hr soak.

Checking on seedlings last night, my best one showing what looks to be a tinge of nute or light burn starting. I backed the EC down to .4 and lowered light intensity to 1.

Seedling update, the geisha breath #1 leading the pack but there’s a rainbow sugar that has some nice long roots into the nute solution there.

Seedlings potted up and spent their first 24hours outside the dome. A few not overly thrilled but hopefully bounce back.

When I buffered the coco I didn’t rinse it well enough and it was a little hot, run off PH was high 7s took me a day or two to catch. Seems like the seedlings with the longer roots suffered most while the ones that were behind are doing great. Especially the one that was in a moldy cube I almost tossed (bottom right in the root riot)

Looks like it should.Have some of the floriflex 4” pots with the lids arriving today. Should probably wait a little longer before I do any more transfers

"I've been checking out this guys site and his utube videos. He has a small write up about using coco and Im giving it a try right now. I bought the tetrasodium edta on amazon. already had the cal nit.
"If you want to ensure your coco is as neutral as possible in terms of nutrients, you can extract it with a 1 g/L solution of calcium nitrate and then with 2g/L of tetrasodium EDTA. This will extract both macronutrients that are exchangeable for Calcium, and micro nutrients that can be extracted when using EDTA. The EDTA step is important, as coco can hold a large amount of micro nutrients within it, that can be exchanged and used by the plant. If you want your nutrients to all come from solution you will need to remove these contributions from the media. After this, you will then want to run plain water to remove any excess Ca and EDTA and then run your full strength nutrient solution for a few days. This will strip the coco from excess ions and equilibrate the cation exchange sites with your nutrient solution’s composition."

Sunday Update:

Recovering from their burns and some new growth. I see two geisha breath that I'm going to keep for sure.



I'm going to sex test these tonight and get them mailed off. Hopefully quick turn around and can figure out whos going into big pots.


This one was still stunted. I transplanted. The roots where still inside the crummy cube so I carefully pealed off what I could and into fresh coco. If it doesn't recover then it wasn't meant to be.
