I havs a Nice Sativa goin.... In a closet that a FUCKIN BOOK FROM THE TOP SHELVE FELL ONTO THE TOP AND BROKE ABOUT 14" DOWN!!!!

Slim is her name and I'm worried about her. She is in her 4th week of flower. I cut the broken top off and stuck that into a highly diluted nute mix i have, just to see if it will survive.

But what about the plant it's self.... I expect shock but how much?? Can this kill her?? (I doubt that, she is very healthy and happy until this nightmare) Or maybe a possitive effect will happen, Like topping her.....

Any comments welcome, just want to know what to expect.

Thanks.......

OUCH! man i hate when shit like that happens. the plant will not die, just an extreme topping. its early enough in the flowering process to recover from this i hope.. Best of luck!

i know you dont top during flowering but ive seen plants continue after being damaged during flowering.

Why not? i always do and have been for many years now and have had great results.
That make me feel alot better. My thinking is that since it is a sativa, longer flowering period, more time to recover..... and it she is 3 weeks, 4 days into flowering... 25 days.

You'll be fine i topped as last as 3 weeks into budding with decent result. Best time to top in flowering from my experience is 2 weeks in. I do a SOG now so i just lollipop. Dont play much with topping anymore.

4 weeks in, your fine... i would never top in flower because i want vigorous growth, but it will resume growth in a couple days, assuming that the 14" that broke off isnt more than 60% of the plant...

we had a ballast fall off the wall onto our plants, luckily we heard it, the plant split in half, we just left it alone and it was fine, still grew, a little wierd but still got alot off of it about 4 weeks later.!!

I have no idea how long it was like that. The crease in the stock was very bad so not knowing what to do, and in a bit of a panic, I cut it and put the top in a 16 oz. cup with some diluted bloom mix... Looks good so far though I really am not holding out hope it will survive and bud more.
