Darkness ?

Is it really 100% nessesary for 12 hours of pure darkness? As in, if I open the door a few times during dark period, will it really mess things up? I don’t have light leaks and it’s dark in there for the most part (small light on the dehumidifier/ heater etc)

just keen to know if it’s really an issue to go in there and check temp/humidity a few times during dark period

Yea checking a couple times per day will likely cause issues. You should get a thermometer that has a sensor that you can put in the grow room but keep the main unit outside of the grow area.

You should also cover up the lights on the heater and dehumidifier.

I've been opening my tent during the dark period on occasion for years. It's not going to do anything unless you do it all the time for extended amounts of time. I always change out bulbs during the dark period. Why do you need to keep checking during the dark period? Let the plants sleep in peace.

they make these low-power, off green lights that you can wear or carry into a Grow during dark periods...i’d recommend pure darkness during those 12 hours, set your timer so you can work during light times....its better to turn your grow light off for an hour or so during “day” than to screw up the dark cycle. Or just grow autoflowers

Temp and humidity. I grow in a shed outside and the temp got down to 16 degrees the other day
