I trim leaves here and there when needed, but try to keep it minimal, dont wanna shock the plant. May get rid of a few, but wont they still do the neccessary functions seeing that they still have clorophyl and havent yellowed?

Cutting them back will promote new growth.

You can leave them lol its ur plant. But it will do no harm to cut them, spread it out over a week if your worried.

And it will make trimming much easier later. Those deformed leaves aren't really gonna do much since its gonna take weeks till they even start growing for a while and there already ruined.

Like I said, just givin a tip, its what I would do/have done.

Yea... i gave it a look over, and there isnt many clawed leaves, so a couple days should clear them out... but as far as new growth, i expect that to only be in the buds really, and maybe the few leaves that come out of that. I dont see em getting replaced this late in flower.. I trimmed a few of em off the hd fruity about 15 min ago. It definitely has a good smell to it.
Thanks for the tip tho, really appreciated. Its nice to know what was causing it now, i dont stress over em like some people that freak at any burnt leaf or sumin. Ill be careful on how many leaves i throw in a pot for now on tho to avoid it in the future. +rep if it lets me.

how far is everybody taking this strain? i had one that went from 1.5' to 4' during the initial stretch. i couldnt handle the canopy with that plant so it was cut up and now i have 2 clones that are 3.5-4' and 4 weeks in. there seeming to like heavier nitrogen feeding but im also getting minor clawing just around the top colas. im running these in organic coco.

after i started these about 4 months ago i also read about thseeds being pretty sucky, i was surprised because they have had so many past favorites (sage,bubblegum) but we will see i guess.i had a clone from a dispensary last year that was "buku". it had beautfial foliage and really symetrical. but it had balls on the main stalk about 1 month in. it was trashed

any more pictures of the darkstar's? loving it!

Ours are about the same place in flowering then.
Does your grow regular, or more kush like, or is the mazar pheno? or do you have something different?

ill post pics tonight, they are rather tall. i believe thats more marzaar i shariff like. after doing research and watching a vid from adam at thseeds, i believe the keeper pheno is more short and bushy then tall like mine. He also said the keepr pheno leans towards purple kush.

right now trich development is pretty good, nothing impressive. the smell is stinky, not like good stinky but weird stinky. looks to have potential. i kinda wish i only had kept 1 clone instead of two, since they take up such a big footprint in my small tent.


hopefully it will be able to handle backpain. most of the time i medicate its because my backs shot from standing/bending over all day at work. it is supposed to be very strong indica, we will see...

Man, and I thought it was just mine! Haha, I have my BuKu outside, and was worried about the branches huging the main stem, but some of the longer lower branches are spreading out finally.

And yeah, I have a S.A.G.E. right next ot my BuKu, it's the fastest growing one in my entire outdoor garden, about to hit 6 feet...Slightly woried about the hermie rumours, but I'll keep my fingers crossed.

Oh man, the Kushage is one awesome stinky plant. I grew one out back in december, it was delicious and when my Kushage freebie bean popped deformed I was totally bummed! Oh well, the BuKu smells sour and pungent and it's still vegging!

As potent as its supposed to be, it should help some at least. I have a short bushy one that looks exactly like the taller branchier one, just a shorter version... We shall see, im defiinitely jarring all 3 seperately so i can give it the smoke test. The mazar one i have doesnt really have a smell, the other two have that kush smell

I like how the branches that hug the stalk have grown up to get more light, really helpful under cfls... Ill have the sage and kushage done within a few weeks of each other. My buku doesnt have a smell i noticed yet, its about a week into flower

well the short bushy one i have is the purple kush pheno, theres a couple tips at the top on the calyx that has turned purple...
Im gonna go watch the video, havent seen it yet, to see what hes talking about.. Hopefully the tall one goes purple as well

anybody have any updated bud shots? my darkstar buds growth is different. the main colas are kinda exploding from all sides, making the buds look uneven. the smell is starting to get stinky like rotting fruit and spices

well i finally rotated my tent around today, honestly the sage looks really nice, but the darkstars smell like old people funk. you know what im talking about, that weird funky poopy sour smell. there also enormous! i wish i would have grown more sage instead. i dont really think theres going to be a whole lot of jar appeal for a strain that stinks so weird. im pretty sure im getting into the last 2 weeks so from now on i will give just water to the darkstars, the sage will get nutes for a week still. im not sure but i think im around week 8 now. i have a new lineup of blackberry og and davie jones to fill my tent with so im kind of in a rush to get the big ass stinky darkstars out as soon as possible.

right now i can only take a group shop because the plants have outgrown there space and i cant really move them until harvest time without possibly having a branch snap. ill go get the camera now, i dont think i have that pheno though...


edit* i took pics but cant fucking figure out the retarded uploader on this site, i swear it used to be easier
