Day 21 (too small? What’s going on?)

Peace!
Day 21 all autoflowers: RG= Royal Gorilla, NL= Northern Lights, FB= Fat Banana. 2gal pots

These were planted in either FFHF, FFOF, or a 50/50 mix of both which is reflected on the sticks.

Temp has been around 80F. And RH has been around 80-85%.
Growing under a cheap KINGLED 1000w (100w)

I’ve posted these pics in other forums and groups and I’m getting a ton of different responses and pieces of advice… it’s lights, it’s ready for nutes, bring the light down lower, turn on both veg and bloom, throw them away, etc lol.
What’s your thoughts? Pieces of advice, tips, criticisms, etc?

Could you go into your watering habits? When? How much?

Aside from being small, they look like healthy plants. If that light is only 100 watts total - and you're only using around half of that in veg mode - you may just be throwing too little wattage at them. If better lighting isn't an option, think about moving the buckets closer together, directly under the light to take advantage of what small footprint it puts out with any degree of intensity.

I’ve been watering when they get dry-ish… which is around every 3 to 4 days… around in between 5-600ml depending on how dry they are.

Looks like you’re over watering a bit.. that stem looks thined out too, it maybe due to stretching.
Trying and keep that soil moisture in check as well toping that weak stem and making sure that it gets some wind is what i would do

I say move them close together, keep doing what you’re doing, start a grow journal to keep tabs every few days. The light will need to be upgraded for bigger fruits and roots, get a fan for extra airflow, it’ll make the stems thicker. I think the best thing to do is enjoy the grow, do research , and don’t overthink it.

just a newb here, flexing wings, but, having just traversed that grow point (day 32 here) that you will see significant growth toward day 30. by then, multiple nodes should begin to appear thru the end of its first month. you will need to think about your LST tech right now. prepare to gently tie the base of the stalk to the pot, anchoring it, then another tie near the top to begin bending. i see you very smartly planted offset so, you will be in great shape in about 1 week.

here is a pic of mine at around the same day and one current (about a week in between them) you will see that there is quite a difference in this stage. i’m right there with ya tho, at day 32, i am of the thinking that mine should be taller than it is (unfolded it’s about 5 inches max) but, had some watering issues and hot soil in the first two weeks.

Could be genetics. I don't see any signs of over watering. For the most part, leaves look flat, not droopy, leaves and stems look pretty green.

What height is your light hanging at?
Do you get any runoff, and if so, do you let them sit in the runoff?

I like little plant in small containers, starting with 3/4 filled Solo, used mix with EWC. Easy to over water with little plants in big pots.

Lighting is probably an issue, but your watering could also be one. 1/2 liter in a 2gal pot every 3-4 days may be a bit on the light side. I use 3gal pots and do at least 1 liter every 3 days or so for plants that size.
I’ll up the water next time. Do you think I could away with another KINGLED light? Or should I go for something like a Mara hydro or spider farmer… 1000-1500? Thanks

Definitely motivating to see your progress! I’m looking forward to these slowly taking off more!

I’m at 20 inches now… lowered it maybe 2 days ago… was at 26-30 inches. Lifting higher and lowering just to see if there was any significant difference. They seem to light the light closer 20-24

I'm not a fan of Mars or Spider Farmer, but brand may not matter as much as what type you get. I'd look to avoid the old style fan-cooled box fixtures like what you have, and go for something more along the lines of a Quantum Board or bar-style light setup. You'll need to take the square footage of your tent into consideration when deciding how many watts you'll need.

For comparison, here are the seedlings I have going right now. I'm notoriously bad at getting seedlings to take off. But here are mine, 5-6 days old, under 200 watts of 3000k COBs hung at 20".
