got a pineapple express and a dutch passion blueberry down right now.
Calculated EC/TDS levels:
EC micro siemen:
0-4-8: 946 µS
0-5-10: 1184 µS
0-8-16: 1894 µS
TDS @ 0.5 conversion:
0-4-8 = 473 ppm
0-5-10 = 592 ppm
0-8-16 = 947 ppm
TDS @ 0.7 conversion:
0-4-8 = 663 ppm
0-5-10 = 829 ppm
0-8-16 = 1326 ppm
unfortunately it seems I ent a little higher than 0-5-10 just a little too early and I'm hitting some burn, I should have looked at this chart more closely and realized that 0-5-10 is for rapid growth stage and higher is for the serious growing and blooming... unfortunately I got a little carried away and my pineapple is suffering stunting from burning while the blueberry seems to be just fine.
I have been adding plain pHed water to try and lower the EC but gotta keep doing it for the pineapple because she seems like she's still getting worse.

lies, the tw is back in this game. its amazing how far behind stunted the trainwreck and pineapple express got this time the blueberry is just movin right along and those two are having a harder time.

Nice they look great. Mine vary in size also, but as long as they're growing, you can't complain. Keep it up!
well I got it, my new light
600w electronic (digital) ballast w/ metal halide and high pressure sodium (generic no doubt) lamps and a 4" vented (perfect size) air coolable small sized hood. everything has plugs and it looks pretty clean, somewhere arund 7 days until it arrives.
its getting colder here temps are going to drop 15 or so degrees by december so the bigger light will be beneficial for my temperatures as well, with the 600w and the hot little 20w air pump things should be pretty warm, my monitor tells me the lowest temperature its been in there was 61.1 which isn't bad but the lights have been on 24 hrs for some time now.
once the 600w pack arrives the metal halide lamps going up and they're getting naps 4 hrs a day for another wk or two until I'm satisfied to flower them... my vertical space is pretty limited but I have about 2 ft to go before they are growing into the reflectors and a cooltube should enable them to get pretty damn close to the 600w so I figure another 2 or 3 weeks of veg they'll be about 20-30" tall by then.
tent height - 62 inch
bucket height - 14.5 inch
cooltube height - 6 inch
head room - 2 inch
250 mh height - 7.5 inch
so I will have about 62 - (14 + 10) = 38 inches of plant height until they are at the glass, so about 32 inches of plant height to work with...
at 20 inches some serious LST will be employed and these girls will fall to somewhere in the 12 inch range, and I suppose I will need to flower them when they get another 4 inch spurt... I may try about 3 rounds of supercrop before the flowering and try to really get a good canopy going (16 inch tall canopy, that is)
the stems seem to be growing really thick this time, which is great for the potential Buddhisms buuuuut not so great for the spindly form needed to really get a good supercrop going on... I already did some leaf arranging as to expose the many tops on the blueberry (which already smells delicious)
The pineapple and the trainwreck are still a bit behind and well their solutions need to be upped because they are slightly yellower and growing at a slower rate so I am going to calibrate all of their solutions to 1150ppm (.7 :: 821 @ .5 :: 1.6 EC :: 1642 microsiemens ) asap.

for side lighting I may leave up my metal halide 250w or if I decide to be more spendy I'll drop another 100 on a 400w ballast in order to have a 400w mh and a 600w hps together on the girls... idk if that will be fully necessary though I think the 250 might be sufficient. The heat probably wouldn't be much of a problem, but I think the cost would be unnecessary.
edit: decided to be spendy and get the additional 400w ballast so I will be running a 600w hps in a cooltube and a 400w metal halide in an air cooled hood.
the exhaust will be spliced and both fans will run through the carbon filtered exhaust. the intake fan will blow into the room with a cloth or HEPA filter on the intake to prevent particles like fiberglass from getting in (it is in the attic).
also I upgraded my air pump to a 20w hydrofarm pump w/ a 6 valve control manifold. It rages with the diffusers and I am getting some really clean and healthy root systems. I have not changed my reservoir once and it is very clean in there.

thats the bull i hate when that happens! waitin for somethin then its the wrong shit and u gotta wait again to get the right shit!
ya and I called and they said they would fix it then I called again and they said they didn't know to call back the next day and then they said it was sent and I would get a tracking number which I never got but it should be on the way I dunno I hope they pull their shit together over there.

ahhha ya brodda
so I got all my reservoirs to about EC 1.6~1.7 last night and since then kaboom 12 hrs later mad improvement on all fronts (except I accidentally nute burned the blueberry when adding some strong solution) but its still monster. The blueberry is 2x the size of the pineapple and 3x the size of the trainwreck and really stinkin' it up with a nice fruity smell.
