Dealer fucked up - Should I be ecstatic or cautious?

there aren't "bad batches" of mushrooms, either they grow right or they don't. if they look like normal healthy cubensis, there's not much ill effects to worry about.

yeah i guess a bad batch wouldnt make sense. if it kills you, that can easily trace back to your dealer, and if its a dried up shittake, your dealer will get a bad rep.

anyway, here they are. the light, white ones are some i bought from him a while ago (~2 months). they arent growing mold, are they? the really brown ones are the ones i just got. i was able to get about an extra 3-4 grams. both kind look legit?

This happened to me before....Was pickin up an ounce but needed it in 4 bags...so we get there n i tell him what i want n he was HIGH AS HELL!!

So he weighs out the first bag it was a quarter then weighs the second it was a quarter then i said actually just give me a half ounce one bag then a half ounce in another...so i dont know if he forgot about the other half he weighed out or what but started weighing out 2 MORE half ounce bags then just gave em all to me...I didnt even notice until i got home and weighed them out....58 grams!!!! for the price of 28!! I was so damn happy...I did the same thing, called him up n told him he gave me more then i paid for but he didnt care because he had POUNDS!! Best shrooms ive ever taken...1-2g's would FUCK you up n send you into another world LMAO!

i was hoping someone else would see the pictures and break this guy the news...

the mushrooms in the third picture may not be cubensis. looks to be store bought shitake or pleurotus.

cubensis should have orange/golden/brown caps, black/purple gills and white/gray/blue stems...

Ive been doing mushrooms for over 20 years and ive seen PLENTY that look like that...sum can be darker then others just a matter when they were picked...I thick stem in the middle looks tasty!!

alright old man, thanks for the qualifying statement about how long you've used mushrooms.

i've been growing for better part of a decade, getting close to 100 grows. i've only been tripping for 12+ years so you're obviously more experienced than i am.

sorry dunce, those aren't cubes.

i encourage the guy to eat them though, or return them to the dealer with some choice words. he'll post back here over the weekend asking why his shrooms didn't work/

no cube has orange gills, no matter when it was picked or what it was grown off of.
no cube has gills that connect directly to the stipe.
every cube has a viel connected to the stipe.

i agree they look tasty, good for soup or something.

well if the dark ones arent true shrooms, ill be mighty pissed since i bought $90 worth. the guy is within walking distance, so i dont know what to do about it. i cant get a refund from a guy who deals, can i?

is it possible they just arent cubensis (sp), and possibly one of the other varieties of shrooms?

if they are what you say they are, we wont die if we do try them, will we?

this has me slightly worried then. say they are just regular, edible mushrooms, you dont think they just perhaps dusted it with something cheap to make people think they tripped (unless you're experienced, and know what a trip feels like)?
