Alright I made it to page 13. I'm getting closer. I am in favor of the death penalty, but not as it stands now. I don't think we can start making judgments about verdicts with the idea in the back of our minds that we "just might be" offing an innocent person. That is the exception, it's not the rule. This is why we have the beyond a reasonable doubt part. If their crime was so heinous that a jury feels it merits the death penalty, for crying out loud, get it the hell over with. Don't have someone hanging out in a cell for 20+ years just wasting away waiting to die. THAT'S cruel. As for rehabilitation, well, that's a case-by-case basis. I mean, it's easy to say "I've learned my lesson, I've changed, etc. etc." It's completely different actually being in the situation.

The prison system could learn something from Henry Ford and start an assembly line to the Electric Chair or however they want to get rid of the trash.

Like I said before the killing of the occasional innocent is a lesser evil than not doing anything at all and leting the victims pay for the incarceration.
I mean is seems most people are of that opinion when you blow up wedding parties and funerals with your drones. oooops, but we meant well.

obviously everyone that is cool w/ the death penalty has never been set-up,framed or dealt with corrupt cops in a big city or small town and everywhere in between.I think they should have to kept alive as long as possible.Life on the inside would be worse then a free ride outta here.

I kind of look at it like we're not necessarily saying we're going to show them how wrong killing is BY killing them, we're saying we're not going to tolerate murderers in society and we're not going to pay for them to live for free either.
