Hey Guys, My (hopefully) girls are about 3 weeks from seed in rockwool and hydroton with 16 23w CFL's on them right now. The pH is from 5.7-6.2 and my nutes are at 620ppm right now. I've been having some problems with the leaves drooping down and looking a bit unhealthy, although until recently there hasn't been much discoloration (beyond the occasional brown or yellow tip from getting too hot from the lights.) I'm attaching some pics to show you guys what i'm talking about. Also, the lower leaves on one of my boxes have started to dry out and crisp up (these are not main fan leaves, but the original three-pronged ones from when they were babies)

Thanks for any help.

Thx man, really cheap too. those power strips are 2/$5 at walmart, $5 worth of rope and plugs at Home Depot... can't remember how much those were. i'm going to add another bank like those when I get them bigger.

you ever thought about hangin em vertical.....thats what i do...works great...just sit and look at your lights...there is alot of light shining upwards just up into the cieling...withem vertical you can have 360 degrees of light...just putem between the plants

Well, that's a bit more complicated than it would seem for the room i'm in. The lights are hanging off of the ceiling by hooks that aren't going to break any world records for stability. I plan on making a reflector out of some cardboard and mylar when I can get ahold of some emergency blankets (harder to find than previously thought). You have any suggestions for my drooping problem?

Thanks

Yeah berg, you're wasting alot of light. You;'re better off letting them hang one by one.... gonna have to use at least 35 cents more of rope though....

Ya I agree, hang them seperate because your gonna want adjustment. You could slice a piece of stove pipe down length wise to make reflectors. Endless possibilities!

I am thinking of setting up a new clone veg room.. i generally veg to 18 inches and then transplant into 2 gallon buckets of hydroton in drip system.. also i generally use rockwool.. 1" plugs for cloneing then to 4" cubes to a nft table for 2 weeks for veg, then to the hydroton finally..
Im sick of all the rockwool.. i want to eliminate all of it if possible....
my question is???????????.. i have a 30 site aerocloner that black one thats like 300. bucks.. ive had it for years and have always cloned old school.. but can i just clone in it and grow them to 18" and move to the buckets of rock...

Just a quick question. Lets say you have a 18-20 gallon container and plan to grow 3-4 plants. How many 5" round airstones would you need and what would be a good size pump to get? Thanks.

here's my setup
Alright I knew i subscribed for some reason and there it is. Nice tub DWC/Aerocloner. Have you ever thought about putting one of those single node foggers setting in a dish in your root zone. I have implied the idea and have seen remarkable weird root growth. Helped re-stable the ladies when I transplanted out of Aerogarden 200. I have the tubs sitting in the garage and they seal well too.... I wanted to turn it into a 30-60 site easy-cloner. My Current DIY DWC build is losing water pressure due to faulty hookups. How do you get such a good seal? I see you've applied some kind of hose and two adapters? explain in detail if you will?

in this tub i have a 396gph pump and some adapters that you can get at lowes in the sprinkler section or plumbing some are setup different.their made out of gray plastic the hose is in the plumbing section to,i believe its 3/4 inch drinking water hose,u will also need a 2 inch long piece male on both sides half inch grey plastic piece for the pump..and u might want to use the glue and primer to weld the manifold together if your having trouble with pressure theres a kit at lowes for 5 or 6 bucks.. :blsmoke: heres some new pics..
