Would have been better off using LST or nets to spread the canopy open. Always better to give more light then hack the plant apart.

Look at the stems. They're lst to death lol
I read a few articles and all said its fine if the plants are very healthy. And not remove a lot of light absorbing leaves. Everything i removed, including some buds were completely shaded out. And they are already topped and tied down
Plant responded well, so far to a mild defoiliation. I removed all the lower shaded out popcorn buds and leaves and any leaves laying on top of each other. I read that the plant will send nutrients and thc to the first available buds. That means the lower popcorn buds, first. I cant prove that but the article was good enough for me to defoiliate in week 8 during flowering. I can share the article if anyone wants it. I had to do something though. That gorilla glue plant was just out of control.
