Diagnostic help! (Pure Afghan Kush) - Vegetative - My Box

Hello everyone.
I am in need of some advice or 2nd opinions on my babies.
First i will fill you all in on my setup.

I'm vegetating in a box that allows roughly 6 square feet and 12 cubic feet of grow space. The measurements of the box are about 3' in width and height and around 2' in depth.
The ladies are laying under 6, T2 6500K CFL's. 23watts/1600lumen each.
Total of 138 watts and 9600 lumen
The entire inside of the box is covered in a reflective insulator.
A small exhaust system above the lights keeps the temperature of the box at a steady 78 F degrees.

Its a very efficient "spare dresser"

Now... On to the ladies.

The strain I'm currently working with is Pure Afghan Kush. With the exception of a few random dank seeds and a White Widow clone.

The light schedule is 17/7
They sit in 12oz cups with a 50/50 mix of simple "Seed Starter" (soil/perlite) and "Peat moss"... Soil pH is unknown.
they have drank %100 distilled water with, i believe, a pH of 7?

They have not been fed any nutrients other than what is found in the soil.

Do these plants look healthy? Or is there some sort of Deficiency going on?
Im only a Novice grower, and I'm thinking its going to be Nitrogen related problem, but im not sure.
So please. any feedback or input is appreciated
i would love to know if this is completely normal or if something is possibly out of whack.

Cool man. I figured the plants are just trying to tell me they're hungry. i got some nutrients on deck so now its time to put them on a diet

It's the container size. Way too small for this stage of growth. A good soil mix will give them pretty much all they need for the first 3 weeks. Plants grown from seeds will also develop more extensive root systems than if you were growing cuttings(clones). Cramped containers can cause rootbound to occur.

I have to disagree with you about this. I use the 16 ounce beer cups to start my plants in. And I usually keep them in there for about 3 weeks with no trouble at all. At 3 weeks my plants are bigger and bushier then these also.
They look to me like they are wanting some nitrogen.

Those girls need some food. Start easy though. What are you planning on feeding them?

i just fed them for the first time today. I made three batches of of a mix of two products (suggested to be used together) BC grow(1-3-6) and BC boost(3-0-2). The first batch is full strength suggested use 3ml/gl for the Boost and 1.5ml/gal for Grow. The other two are half and quarter strength mixes.
I basically divided the ladies into 3 groups and gave them all one of the three food juices and labeled which plants got what. Not knowing my pH right now I'm curious how well the plants are going to take the nutrients.

and i changed the water to... 50/50 Distilled/Tap

I don't argue that you can do that and have good results, but these are 12 oz, not 16 oz, so yours are 25% larger. Semantics perhaps, but worth mentioning, and the effectiveness can vary from strain to strain, pheno to pheno. He also said he's not feeding, so he could continue to not feed for a little while just letting the soil do some work, if there was more soil.

Oppps. Did not notice he was using 12 ounce cups. My cups are 33% bigger then his are. That is a pretty good size difference. But also, His are only 75% of what mine are. Kind of weird how that works.

One easy way to find out if they are root bound, is to put one hand over the top of the cup, with the plant stem between your fingers and turn it upside down. then give it a few light raps with your other hand. It will slide out easy. Take a picture of the soil and roots and post it here. Then just carefully place the root ball in the cup, or repot it.

How old are those plants. And why is your PH at 7.0? Also, why are you going with an odd light schedule of 17/7? I am pretty sure your light schedule is not the problem. I am just wondering.
