I believe some gentle water circulation should maintain sufficient oxygen levels for cloning.

I'm trying a power head aquarium pump instead of the air pump and curtain stones, they work great but there's a slight noise penalty from the pump i could live without, if works great if it doesn't it's no big deal.

Let's see how it goes?

10 days further on.

6 seeded plants to the left, clones to the right.
The roots are sufficiently established now for flowering (3ltr pots)

They've been under hid/fluo for the temps but I'll be changing to led for flowering this week.

I've a couple of clones/plants I don't want growing quickly they're mothers for my next run and it's months away.

My 4x T5 unit was maintaining ideal conditions for good growth rates so last week I swapped the T5 unit out and put in a 240w 4k led @35w,
temps 20/21c
_20220313_181432.JPG
Growth has slowed down but they still look healthy enough - 0.8ec/ph6.0

I'll see what happens bongsmilie

They were fine for around a week then a couple of days ago I looked and knew something wasn't quite right.
I tested the ec expecting it to be a little high... 0.8ec in and 0.2ec out?
I've since fed it 8-10 times with 1.0ec + 0.2 calcium chloride and magnesium sulphate and still getting 0.2-3ec run off and 0.4ec after a few more feeds.

Erm... no improvement today again I've gave the two plants a soak of 1.2ec and got 0.4ec back out, I gave them another soak and got the same 0.4 again (I'm getting pissed by now) so I used the flowering nutrient 1.5ec and gave them a soak with it...you guessed 0.4ec out? _20220319_141035.JPG

Clones look better with some dim lighting I find 4xT5s a bit much for clones.

bongsmilie...

March 19th
Eta... Fed them again at 7.30pm 1.2 + 0.2 epsom 0.5ec out.

It's time to abandon trying to fix it during low temps I've got some clones that need caring for and I also need to clone the two plants for the next run.

I've cut them back and put them under T5s.

That was a week feeding 1.5ec multiple times daily and couldn't get the ec to level out???

Before cutting it had improved a bit.
