Did I get a fake Seed Junky pack??

I've got this OPENED PACK of Gelato 41 x Sherb BX from Seed Junky that I won on Neptune's auction site last year on the cheap (when compared against most resale prices) - $250 US to be exact.

After the Neptune auctions site was taken down for people selling fake shit on there some alarm bells started going off so I've done a bit of investigating and have noticed some inconsistencies between the packaging I received and that of other people's listing's online.

First thing I noticed was the Seed Junky logo label on the front of it. The corners of the SJG sticker are rounded on most packs I see for resale online whereas mine has straight corners (like that of some of the older SJG packs floating around) and the label on the back with the strain name on it isn't printed in the same format as most of "Jealousy" packs I've been comparing against my own.

I'll try upload my photo of the pack now but might need to do it from a different device as uploading anything via this browser/device never seems to work.

Ya dude this is why I have told people to be cautious with auctions, for the most part neptune and other sites weren't really doing any vetting of people auctioning gear- at least that I know of. When you buy seeds thru something like an auction or just a person selling a pack on IG you should be provided with at least a proof of purchase email where the seed pack was originally purchased. It's not to must to ask. This is just an example, I'm not selling these lol...but say with my thugpug packs I bought thru different seedbanks, if you bought a pack from me, I could go into my emails and get my proof of purchase via email conformation from seed bank the pack was originally purchased at...then I could send it to you verifying it's legit. I honestly could probably dig up most of email confirmations of proof of purchases on most of my seed packs I bought in the last 3 years, it might take some time and searching but it could be done and thats why I don't think it to much to ask.

Post a pic of the seedjunky pack...decent amount of people on here can probably tell you if it's bunk or not. Did the poster have other gear available? $250 for seedjunky is a good price but still way to pricey in my opinion, remeber years ago I got the pack of icc for under a $100.

As for the auction itself I got some crazy dope bargains off there. Pheno Addicts - Gelato #45 × Biscotti for $100, Archive - Gelato #41 × Dosidos (6 fems) for $100 + Ice Cream Cone (10x regs) for free. I was fucking gutted when I read the thread elsewhere on RIU about the original Neptune auctions getting shut down for fake getting sold on there.

Ok, so what do you think? I've seen packs that do have the straight edge corner on the Seed Junky Label however I haven't seen them on any of the "Jealousy" packs elsewhere around the internet. The Gelato #41 x Sherb BX packs that I've seen all have the rounded corners.

As for Glo, I've never used them before. Browsed the site from time to time but never pulled the trigger on an order. Thanks for the heads up on that my man. Also thanks for any help you might be able to give me with identifying if this pack is indeed legit or not.

Also I forgot to add that when I opened up the puck to count how many seeds were there it was only a bare 10 seeds not 10+ as you'd expect from the description on the pack. I figured dude that sent it off taxed the extra 2 or so seeds before putting it up for auction as a way of double dipping on the deal. I wasn't too phased by it. I just want the 10 seeds I recieved to be legit.

LOL! Yeah I know what you're saying. Actually you've just helped me realise the absurdity of expecting anyone to really be able to answer my question just by identifying the pack alone. Maybe if I upload pics of other packs I've seen around to help compare against? You're right though, going to have to just bite the bullet and roll the dice and just pray that I don't waste a whole 3 months on growing some generic bunk shit.

Ya I mean it's either or, seed junky packaging is kinda rinky dink anyways, just some stickers slapped on square mylar bags. Just grow em out, if you find a decent amount of herm plants and also some fire keeper phenos, you'll know you got legit seedjunky, lol.

Glo does huge sales as well, but not sure he throws the greenline seed co gear in with the sales, because some of that stuff is rare and from his personal stash. Anyways he has a SJ acai gelato x kushmints11. Someone on here ran the pack and got killer results. It's going for $365.

Anyways screw seedjunky- save your money and grab some clearwater genetics, csi humboldt, wyeast farms, compound genetics, or dungeon vault genetics. You'll find something just as good if not way better, as long as your somewhat skilled grower with a dialed in room

I’m a total newbie and know nothing about seedjunky other than the hype so take what I say with a grain of salt. But knowing how pissed I’d be if I got a fake pack (especially of that caliber) I figured I’d take a look through the seedjunky hashtag on Instagram. Found exactly what you were saying - most rounded labels but some clean cut. Found three packs of a wedding cake x gelato 33 that all looked exactly like yours. Also one last thing is seedjunky does have a screenshot of a pack on his Instagram that has the same clear cut outline. I’d assume they were just an older style of label but people more familiar with the chronology of his lines would certainly be a better source to look towards. Good luck man hope it’s all good!

Yeah bro I hear you. I've ran some of the 'Pint Sized' by Clearwater outdoors this last season and that shit was super nice. You would never have known it was outdoor if I didn't tell you prior. Super dense, super frosty, tasted and smelled on par with the few imported Cali packs I've had from time to time. Let me just say, you guys are spoiled for choice over there when it comes to terp/flavour profiles. I'm talking flavours us Aussies never even knew could exist within cannabis. Clearwater are definitely getting my business again after running those Pint Sized beans.

I'm not really all that hung up on running Seed Junky's gear but I am wanting to try all these strains we've been missing out on here in Oz. Shit like Ice Cream Cake and Wedding Cake may seem played out to you guys but we're sitting over here drooling and dreaming over Youtube reviews and IG promo shots for these last 5 or 6 years now. You don't know how good you've got it. Fact is that was the first and only pack I've ever copped from SJG and the asking price on most his wares is way beyond justifiable for a mere 10 - 12 beans.

Whoa lad! Nice sleuthing my man. I'm glad you see what I was talking about here. I hope it just some older packs as you say. I guess I should just hit Beezy himself up about it on IG and see whether or not he can verify it. I just don't want to waste my time growing some doo doo weed if the ol' switch-a-roo has actually take place with this pack. Thanks again for your help brah. Good looking out!

Well pick up some American beans and start running shit in Australia, you'd probably have the best bud on the Gold Coast brah. Also totally forgot- look into Cannarado and Sunken Treasure Seeds. Every breeder on the list I gave you is solid including these 2. When using the American seed banks just make sure they do international shipping, some might take a lot longer than others.

I might add that real deal Cali packs are selling for $180+ for 3.5g. I don't care how exotic it is. Ain't nothing worth that kind of money. For $180 an 1/8th it would want to change your religious beliefs for that kinda money. I know a young kid selling fake packs for $350 an 1/8th claiming it's real deal GG#4 and, wait for it, CINDERELLA 99!

The shits home grown weed thrown into fake packs from ebay.

Correction: Kid's trying to sell packs for $350. Full on goofy shit.
