Did my cheap QB wreck my plant?

Hi y'all,
I bought a very cheap QB off Aliexpress. Now in my tent after about 5 weeks of using it i have the most fucked up, embarassing plant ive ever grown, it looks like total shit. Ive grown 7 crops with my old Meijiu 120w QB which have been really successful, about 1.5g/W.
My thought process with these boards is - theres probably a handful of factories in Asia producing millions of these boards, some go to Kingbrite, some go to Meijiu, maybe some go to HLG, my point is that i dont think theres one place making good boards and another producing garbage...i think they all probably come from the same place. So i was fairly confident about this board, but as i say it was a huge failure.
Theres some other possible reasons things went tits up but the decline definitely starterd when i switched boards.
What do you think? Are there genuinely crap boards which wont grow shit out there and did i buy one?
Cheers!

What is so bad about your plant? Like what’s it doing? I had a similar experience happen to me. I have ran viparspectra blurples in my veg tent for a few years with great success beautiful veg plants. I recently added the blurples into my flower tent along side my HLG 600. I then placed the spyder farmer sf2000 in the veg tent and my plants started showing signs that I thought were along the lines of not enough light and then maybe they needed more nutes long story short I never could get those original veg plants back so I took clones trashed those veg plants and started over. Now in my veg tent those clones are thriving under the sf2000. Idk if any of this helps as I don’t know fully what your situation is but just My .02

Thanks guys. I really dont know. She started being weird when i changed the lights. Dunno if youre DWC guys or not, but from 1000ppm in my bucket, that started rising like crazy, going up to 1200 in 24 hours which is a huge jump. Generally rising PPM means - shes not sucking up nutes, only water, which becomes more concentrated, hence the ppm rise. And its been rising ever since, its actually stable at 500 which for a late flower in DWC is ridiculous, ive always been in the 1200 -1500 range at this stage. So something has really gone wrong with the feeding, and im not sure the lights could have anything to do with this.
Im too fucking embarassed to post a pic

Bro your good I run RDWC and can say that changing from hps over to the leds my ppm are super low throughout veg and flower compared to what I used to run at under hps. I use blu lab guardians on both tents so it continuously monitors ppm and ph. The Ppm stay 300 or below through veg with healthy fat green bush leaves at a ph of 5.0-5.5. Sounds low on both but my plants love it. Botanicare is what I run. I would say your plants would bounce back with time if your patient enough to wait. I just tried a couple of things on mine and thought it’d be easier to just clone, trash and start over.

The boards themselves get great reviews on Amazon. I doubt it’s related to the light. But take a meter and measure the PPFD.

And pictures of the plants in question always help.

Though i woulndt ever recommend buying based on amazon reviews id tend to agree here: these boards are pretty much the same as a standard 301b meijiu board; the bew boards just arent as good at making light out of power, but spectrum is very similar. Im leaning towards grower error on this one. On the good side, you dont need to trash those new boards. I would rec driving them a bit softer than the first board though

It’s made clear by one reviewer that for the price they are a bargain. Pictures posted of stuff growing under them. As reliable as the stories here.

Ok thanks guys, interesting. I mean this board looks identical to what Meijiu, kingbrite etc are selling, it has the same lettering stamped on the board. They sell their 240w kit for about 120, minus 60 for the driver leaves $30 per board, I paid $25...so its not like it theres a huge price difference which would suggest one board is legit and the other one is garbage.
As a few have said, grower error a more likely cause.
Heres what i got - i did tell you it looks like an absolute sack of shit!

Props for showing it off, yeah it looks messy. I see a lot of people getting into problems with leds and deficiencies, the best way (ususally) to correct minor defs is uping the temps a bit for better transpiration. When you start to tinker with nutes its easy to go overboard and burn the plant, create lock outs etc. In any case the boards should work fine for next time.

Cheers yeah i really wanna try these boards with UV/IR i was looking at getting one from Kingbrite as a replacement but based on what people here have said it seems unlikely theres anything wrong with the board...i took my eye off something this time and got my ass kicked

whats the tent size?
so you went from 120 to 240W in the same tent?

as been said, spectrum should be ok.

60x60cm. No i have a 120 in my tent, i was just making the point that KB, meijiu etc sell their single 120w boards for about $30 and I paid $25. Which considering aliexpress has free shipping, is a great deal - just a pity I fucked up this grow!

Let's be honest with ourselves, its usually grower error lol

I had a hydro problem a while ago that had me scratching my head for a while. It was a GHE Waterfarm, which has a load of Hydroton in a tray on top. Nuits always looked ok as did the roots in the bucket. Problem turned out to be fungas nats in the hydroton. A Neem drench on the hydroton fixed the problem but it was a bit late and yield was poor.
