Not looking to be recruited into your cult dude. Give it up. You guys made the choice a while back that the way to get people to support Ron Paul was badger them with spam and if someone even questioned Ron Paul's ideas you guys immediately attacked them. Basically, you act like a bunch of nuts.

No one in their right mind would be even moderately curious about what Ron Paul has to say after seeing how their cult members behave. You guys have permanently insured the only thing Ron Paul will ever be associated with is insanity.

Further more, Ron Paul has a very specific interpretation of the constitution. It's not the ONLY interpretation of the constitution. Just because someone disagrees with how Ron Paul views the constitution does not mean they hate the constitution. It just means they disagree with how he interprets it.

But the way you guys act in this forum and all over the internet will insure anyone in their right mind will not want to be associated with Ron Paul in anyway. Aggressively spamming is NOT the way to get people to agree with you.

Even driving around the other day I saw a group of people holding Ron Paul signs. They were not smiling and waving as campaign workers normally do. They were shoving the signs towards cars and just screaming "RON PAUL!!!!" at people who happened to drive past. That's not very convincing anyone of anything other than that Ron Paul and his supporters are insane cult members.

Your mind is not free if you won't take the time to understand views that seem eccentric. Freedom is being able to search for truth and you will never find truth if you refuse to search for it. Don't you see that you are the aggressive one in your pursuits to convince us that our ideology is faulty, you constantly engage our ideas and then really refuse to listen to what our responses are. This is close mindedness, it is in opposition of free thought and true understanding of the world around you. I will no longer engage your disputes on these forums because I understand that you must find freedom on your own, we cannot force you to do so. Efforts to debate someone who doesn't understand or really listen to responses is futile. Good luck in life.

so your support of a candidate has to do with his supporters, not the candidate own policies or positions?

thats odd. So, do you choose the candidates you support based on the most likable supporter base?

i think you missed his point. check that, i'm sure you missed his point.

he is not saying he bases his support on the likability of the supporters, he is saying that the complete lack of likability of ronald's supporters is a complete turn off to anyone who may be considering supporting the guy.

Well I don't like his policies either.

The point being that the way Ron Paul supporters behave is off putting. It makes people associate Ron Paul with insanity. Aggressive spamming is not the way to make people see your point of view, neither is accusing people of hating freedom if they even ask a question about one of his positions. That actually makes people less willing to listen to the message.

So, do you choose the candidates you support based on the most likable supporter base?

No, you've missed my point entirely.

I do not agree with Ron Paul's positions. However, if Ron Paul supporters had a different approach that did not include aggressively spamming people and accusing people of hating liberty and the constitution I'd be more willing to seriously consider their point of view. When people use such cheap tactics they almost always do not have a point of view worth listening to.

People who really have something to say worth listening to do not need to spam and accuse people of hating freedom when questioned.

I've done my best to give these people a fair chance and it was only met with having tons of insults hurled at me if I wasn't 100% supportive of Ron Paul all the time. That's not what free thinking people with well thought out opinions do. That's what cult members do.

You missed the point. The point wasn't that this was such a horrible imposition or they shouldn't be allowed to do this. The point was they shouldn't do this because they look like crazy people and their aggressiveness is off putting. It also harms the legitimacy of the candidate in question.

For that you can't be upset. You have to appreciate passion for politics that gets a name and an idea out there. Americans don't know close to enough about what is going on around them.

Fucking ridiculous. Your arguments are only valid in non-ron paul threads and spam threads. This one is 38 pages deep, it's fair to call it an official Ron Paul thread now.

This is about RP and his supporters. I think it's valid to point out just how badly RP supporters spam. Maybe this says something about his supporters, maybe it does not. There's enough other reasons to easily dismiss him, though.

I didn't find it upsetting at all. I found it off putting. Big difference. When people shout at you when you're in your car at a stop light for no apparent reason, you don't think "gee, I wonder what wonderful well thought out opinions that person has", you instead think "oh look! a group of insane people. time to roll up my window".

The point being, it's not an effective method of getting people to consider what you have to say, nor is aggressive internet spamming and accusing anyone who questions you of hating freedom.

Getting your name out there is a good thing. But there is a way to do it and a way not to do it. Charles Manson's name is out there, I doubt he could win a presidential election. There is a very aggressive group of Ron Paul supporters out there that are making Ron Paul and people associated with him absolutely terrible right now. I'll give credit to you, beardo, and a few others for supporting him, having rational discussions about him, disagreeing with others without behaving in a way that makes Ron Paul supporters seem crazy. But there is a very dedicated group of Ron Paul supporters who've completely lost their way. What they are doing is in no way helping the cause they think they are helping.

When I was speaking of Ron Paul spam, I was speaking in general terms. Not about this thread specifically, not even about this website specifically. Ron Paul is in the name of this thread. Of course it's not spam to post about Ron Paul in a Ron Paul thread.

But in general, what Ron Paul supporters are doing all over the internet is most definitely spam and it's not going to make Ron Paul president.

Except for the spamming I disagree with you. You would think more aggressive marketing tactics like gorilla marketing wouldn't work, but to the contrary it is incredibly effective.

Sadly, most of the time when people hit the booths they vote for the candidate who's name resonates the most.

As for the yelling, remember passion inspires more passion.

I get it, you guys have said this hundreds of times, but you should let Ron Paulers have their Ron Paul threads. You aren't a Ron Paul supporter so what they say/do in the Ron Paul threads should have no effect on you.
