Thanks TLD how you doing good I hope. Yaking the grandson fishing .Dirrtyd
Just got back from taking my son to the pond near our house. He had a blast.

Is there anything more frustrating than a clear lake, seeing the fish following and nipping at your fly (behind a clear bubble) and not being able to land a single fish?

How about being completely out of nutrients, and knowing that your 10 foot plants outside are hungry..... and having no money to buy nutrients?

Hey DD!

Everything is looking great!

I had a little trouble with pix as well, but I've been posting dozens of pix, up to two megs with no problems.

I use the "Insert Image" icon, just above the Quick Reply window.

Fishing and growing have one thing in common it takes patience to be good at it. Dirrtyd

Well I just let 1500 ladybugs go in the garden we will see how many stay. I will let another 1500 loose in about two weeks. If half stay from both I will be on the winning side. Dirrtyd

I've been using ladybugs for a long time. This time of year, they leave very quickly. They'll munch maybe 80% of the target species and then look for greener pastures. Especially when temperatures are over 80 degrees, they'll take flight.

The real benefit is the eggs the mature females lay. They'll hatch, and the nymphs will munch out until they hibernate and become beetles. I usually apply them in March and May. I put them in the greenhouses, which slows their escape into the outside garden a bit.

Grass clippings, wood ashes, compost, coffee grounds, tree leaves and/or pine needles, urine, manure if there are dairies locally, horse droppings from local stables, etc.

If you can get local restaurants to save you their egg shells and coffee grounds(provide two lidded containers and pick them up alternately, daily), you can save a ton on store bought nutes.

Beautiful plants!

Love the density of the foliage.

The sign of some fine buddage in your future.
Veggie thanks for the compliments my friend. I'm just trying to grow on your caliber my man I like your style. I will keep you updated with pics seeing the calyxes forming on all so I expect they will start flowering anytime now. The revegged plant is looking good so glad I tried that this year makes me think for next year. The potted plants are going crazy at this time some are starting to flower. The weather has been weird this year but overall great for me.Dirrtyd
