This is a great post. I've only grown in soil up to this point, but after seeing the simplicity of the DIY, I'm on a mission to build my own. I think that what all of those neggz need to realize, is that simplicity is what you want, learn along the way and grow your own budtree. If this was rocket science how many of us would be here?

I noticed that your target containers arent light proof. My daisy cloner, which I never rooted a single clone with, also was not completely light proof. At lowes they have a gallon and a half paint bucket with a snap on lid and Im wondering how light proof that is. My idea is to basically build a daisy cloner but use a 360 sprayer and a recycle timer instead of using a spinner and running it continuously.

Awesome tutorial. Where'd you get those cool green inserts for the net pots?

BTW, is there any appreciable advantage to aeroponics like this vs. bubbleponics or DWC? Or all these really just different ways to skin the cat?

DWC & bubbleponics pretty much just use airstones whereas an aeroponic setup uses a water pump right?

P.S. is this a pain to measure PH & refill? Would there be a way to attach an outside res?

Is a 158GPH good enough? I want to try a DWC or Aero grow soon. My pump is Submersible/In line pump, that does 600L/HR. It has a sprayer head aswell.

has anyone actually used this for a full cycle yet? I made two and have already not used them for 2 cycles because I want to see someone do it first!!! Is there enough space for fully mature plants and their roots?

I got most of the parts today and will begin construction tonight.
Only thing I don't have is the clay pebbles. The hydro shop was all out.

Thanks for the input and pics. I will try and post the build on a separate thread.
Once again thanks.

Dude thank you SO MUCH for posting this DIY! I've never grew anything outside of soil & I am thinking about building a aeroponic setup exactly like this, I am still a little undecided if I'm going to do ebb&flow, dwc, bubbleponic, ect. I'm going to Target to check to see if they have those tubs very soon, you can't beat this 40$ DIY! Thanks for all you help, I am also wondering if you can't start seeds in this & where you got those green things at the top of containers?
