Dude, I just checked the trich on a tiny leaf off the bottom half of the Giant Beautiful bud in the middle of the screen... what did I see but

A TON OF AMBER.

I'm guessing the big buds with all the light are ready... I'm so nervous. What do I do, ahhhhhhhh...

I'm thinking I'll cut a bud or two tonight... my heart is leterally racing right now.

I tried to take pics. Let me know what you think if you can see them.

And not to worry ninja-san... I'll pack a nug away for ya. I have to visit my parents at their house in LG someday. Haha, maybe I'll just send them home with a nug, you could hook up from moms and pops.... yeah, probably not. ha.

I'm freaking excited guys.

Oh, and on the co2 front... I had a bottle I mixed up 3-4 times, but as my buddy smoote said it would... it gets old mixing that stuff everyweek. Next grow I'm going to get a co2 tank... You can get little tanks good for closets like this for less than $80 with the regulator. They are made for paintball guns. It's hard to beleive that I might grow nicer buds next time.

Jig you are more likely to cut them early than late.

It would take a month or more at least before you would need to even think about that.

Trichs are not an exact science either. Aside from using the trichs as a guide, harvest when it just looks done. You know what it looks like when its ready!

Once you think it looks done and the trichs confirm it, wait a week and then harvest.

So I guess a question for you and others is when do I know things are starting to deteriorate? I remember reading to wait long enough, but if you just let them keep going forever the thc breaks down.... I'm not worried that I'm going to do that... I'm just curious what it would look like (if you can even see it).

I could have guessed that today would be special... it is my 'special day'. I love May 16th.

I have never seen anyone who cut too late on here.

I have seen people not cut and leave for the weekend, come back and have major issues.

I have seen people over nute their plants at the end of flower and totally fry them...

I have never seen anyone harvest "over-ripe" buds.

right on man, trichs look really good week more of flushing then chop right ? dam these nugs are going to be top shelf man ... how long are you planing on curing for .... i was thinking a month then just talked to another guy, he said 3 months ........i know its like wine the longer its cures the better its going to be but shit thats a long time to wait one month for veg, two months for flowering, two months for drying and curing then smoke mmmm the best part

The trich pics are only lit by the light in the microscope. I know it looks like hps, but that is just the camera. I don't know what other kind of light I can get it under... I don't know if you understand how hard it is to get the pictures I do. I know they suck, but I think this is about as good as it gets.

Also the shots of the buds from today are all lit with a 100w incandescent, soft white.

The trichs to me looked 70-80% amber heads. Wife had independent guess of 60-80%.

I so love the baby in the car analogy... it's so what it would be like... I can't imagine losing my internet... I'd be going over to the nieghbors like "can I use your computer for a few hours".... That made me laugh.

Don't worry, I'm not getting ahead of myself.... just want to have a little fun, but who else want to wager a yeild guess... closest wins something real special (I'll think of it later)... and just to be clear, we'll guess total dry weight for all 6 plants (or averages or g/w, whatever).

I know what I think but I'm not going to suade you. (don't know if that's a word, but I'm going with it)

Now I follow you... I was missing the point before. Long day...

I do beleive the plants say to me "we can do it a little longer"... they have a little left in them.

I'm going to unplug the hps and snap some photos of both plants and trichs under 250w of mh blueness, no fake werid amber/ yellow there.

Oh, and I had a brainwave about mh vs. hps light the other day... I'll have to share with all of you. But off to snap some pics now.
