Yes if you tape the COB, paste is used. I'm pretty sure the COB holders involve no paste.

I don't have a parts list, but it's basically the COB, COB holder or kapton tape, heatsink, some wire, a driver, and a fan. Throw in some low voltage spade connectors and heat shrink wrap, and some wire or chains to hang the heatsinks, that's about it.

If you read through this entire thread, and maybe a few others, I'm sure you'll figure it out no problemo.

Any LED is claiming 600W for $240 is unfortunately lying to its customers (unless you meant $2400?). Actual dissipation will probably be about 100W of low quality LEDs and you would be much better off with HID.

A quality LED will cost about $2.15-$3/W (LED dissipation). The Onyx Bloom cost $2.15/W. A diy COB lamp could cost as low as $1.50/W if you are resourceful, and it would be much more efficient than the Onyx Bloom. You can make it as small as 52W for about $75 or scale it up to cali worthington size and you can still run on 120V circuit.
Can you tell me if the model listed below is sufficient for a 3x3 grow? It was $240. Thank you.

Church is correct a typical 3w cree blue only has 80lm. But if the manufacturer says it's 14k lumen i highly doubt it's actually 14k. Unless you get a meter or know the chips they use you'll never know.

my current led has 12k lumens per Sq ft. Includes 3k,5k,450nm,480nm,630nm,660nm.

I'm sure the majority of the lumens comes from the 5k and 3k leds. The further from 555nm in either direction, the fewer lumens 1W of radiant power will be rated at.

Yep, that's why manufacturers don't list the lumen output of reds because it's so small and you really can't get a accurate reading like you said the "higher" you go.

I think the Z2 is the highest bin you will find in stock. Arrow seems to be the only company that even lists the AB at this point so its probably going to be a long wait for them. I and most of the people here who have them got them from a trusted RIU member, I'm not sure where he got them from but I am grateful for the hook up.

Holly crap it took Ebay 3 hours and 1 minute to refund my money after i hit the escalate button. I wonder if monster gardens is still having a nute sale i got some extra cash to spend. oh yeah Ebay said nothing about investigating the seller or anything about my offer to send the drivers to a electronics testing company to confirm they really are 33 watt drivers. Oh well i tried, hopefully my feedback will save a few folks from getting ripped off.
