15 minutes before and 15 minutes after is enough?
So with the storm controller id have everything delayed by 15minutes and keep the far reds without a delay?

Hey @DrCannaP my No-Till Buddy from GC✌How's the Beast coming along so far. I didn't know you had the reds delayed that's what my friend use to do with his red UFO using 2x 304 boards.

Btw: Cover crop coming along Nice so far, plus I put some fenugreek seeds two days ago. And just added 12 red wiggler's to my 15g smart pot. Just waiting for my two Femmed Blueberry's to finish up there almost 4 weeks in 12/12. So I could do 1 plant in 15g ScrOG with my first run at No-Till! my temps haven't went over 79° and it's 90 outside but as long as I have the central on my tent stays cool in my basement. Plus I'm running my lights at night time :bigjoint: passtheshit

Robin or Stephen, what size bolt do you use to secure the driver to the Slate 2 (single)?
M3 or M4 25mm Length

Hi, does anyone know what type/size screws are required for the slate 2 double and slate quad heatsinks? What pitch/thread type?
Thanks
You need M3, at least 9mm. 10mm -12 mm will work great.
If you placed an order of slate 2 double and slate quad heatsinks and did not get the screws to join them together then send an email and we will send correct screws.

Hi, does anybody know how discreetly HLG ships and what the return address says? I'm worried about a package arriving from Horticulture Lighting Group. Also, I'm a little worried that the package for a slate 2 triple will look suspicious. Thanks!
All boxes have 'HLG Lighting' as sender.
Plain Brown box or USPS boxes with a few fragile stickers around it if you ordered boards.
Commercial invoice on international shipments had word 'horticulturelightinggroup@gmail.com' in email ID until now. 'horticulture' word was removed from email ID today

I understand what your saying! Better safe then sorry. But if it says horticulture that could be anything to do with gardening. So many people get stuff shipped nowadays, I doubt there would be any suspicion on a board. Ups drivers have so many packages to deliver I wouldn't even think they would even look at the box IMO. But I hear you, from what @robincnn just said you should have No Worries! Good Luck with your New Light!

Hey, why do we run solid core wire from board to board/ driver? The guy at the electronic store said there's more voltage drop with solid core wire & I'm running my driver's outside my room so possibly 20, 25ft runs.

Stranded and solid should carry the same current capacity for DC. Voltage drop should be similar.
Skin effect should not be an issue. Not sure what else could it be.
We recommend solid core for boards as it is easier to use with the connectors on board.

I will be running my drivers outside of my tent. I plan to use solid core on the boards the run into a junction box and using stranded all the way back to the driver.

Wiki sez skin effect is an AC issue anyway?

Great looking plants. Do you supplement with any other light in addition to 3500k ? Always keep hearing about needing extra red...
No ... Not really.

I DO HAVE deep red lamps ( 630-660nm ) that i do add sometimes in my grows .
But the Quantums do just fine on their own. 3500k is a good mid point color temp for your plants and offer a slight blue to output ( hence a slight more stretch ) but reall kicks the veg stage nicely.

I am running some of the early boards ( QB 304 S5 bin ) but no complaints .
Yes the 3000k work beautifully ( S6 bin ) and I have a new rig running those.

Quantums are pretty complete as is .....

What's great is that I can pull old boards on my builds and UPGRADE anytime without
changing drivers .....

What other systems allow you to keep upping the efficiency without shitcanning the whole light system ?

Yo yo whats up brother its coming aling nicely bro. Fired it up yesterday amf it was bright as all heck. Just need to figure oit why the 4000ks arent lighting up. I thought they were drawing too much voltage from the driver so I omitted one of the 60 diodes. Still not running. Ill see if its coltage drop thats causing that (so ill have to omit one more diode perhaps) or a circuit continuity issue but i nees to get a multimeter to check that hopefully soon
Well with my controller i had to have every5hing else delayed except the far reds. So the far reds will turn on 15 minutes before everything starts to ramp up, then turns off 15 minutes after everything else ramps down and turns off at least thats how I set it up on the storm controller and hoping thats how itll be hah
Sounds good brother .. cover crop coming along nicely .... thats also what i do ... i run my lights at night for cooler temps and to save on AC electricity suring the day its close to 120F outside where I am man lmfao

+1 Good graphic.

I remember GrowMau5 doing a video about 18 months ago before he got into QBs. It was a beautiful rig but he said he was hitting the plants with too much light. I think it was the showdown video where he tested Jack's against a high end brand of liquid nutes and it was essentially a tie.
