DIY with Quantum Boards

Nearly had my Quantum Boards a year now and they've done what they needed and more. Running 4x 250w XL boards (yeah yeah old V1 tech :wink:) in a 4 x 8 I've never had such happy frosty dense plants. Thanks HLG :clap::clap:

Been a bit hot in the UK so I'm running less than 800w in a 4 x 8 tent at the moment, few shots from this run,

Also running a 1212 from seed tent (2x3) flowering with a 65w 3000k board. I was blown away by the bud this little board produced last time, any micro growers will love this. I'll be buying another one or a 100w to fill the space.

I have two 3000k 304s ive been running since fall 2017.

I have two 2700k 304s showing up here tomorrow and i just got to thinking.... am i ok wiring these four boards to one driver? I woulda ordered 3000k but it appears thats not an option anymore....

Are these V2 boards compatible with the V1?

there are v2 of the 304 boards?

The 561 data sheet doesnt indicate that the different K ranges have any different FV.
As long as they are the same diodes itll be dependent on the FV like @diyled mentioned

Hey guys, if ten minutes of far red light after flower lights go out extends the amount of time lights can be left on during flower. Why isn’t everyone doing it? It seems like a “no brainer!” Am I not seeing, or am I just missing something here?

I’ve got two Red LED pucks on the way. I’m gonna try it after lights are out. But what about the HLG 35 with red, deep red, and far red light included. If used during lights on in flower, which is what I’m thinking it’s used for. How much is good, or bad? Some plants could maybe use a little stretch, but not all. And I’ve read that the extra stretch could become more harmful than good. Is it more or less trial by error? I’m maybe gonna purchase and try to find a spot for it, if it’s something that most folks could find beneficial and practical to use.

Just started my first run after changing from HPS to LED. Five days in, my plants look fantastic. Much better than starting from clone under sodium bulbs. And the less amount of heat in my room, really pretty amazing. I’m pretty sure I’m gonna love LED.

I’m good with what I’ve got. May just need to leave it alone. I can overthink stuff sometimes. I don’t mind trying something new at times. But dang sure don’t want to go to far overboard and mess up an already good thing. You know what I mean!

Man, you sound just like me when I started... I was second guessing myself all the time... You just have to experiment with the lights and see what you and your plants like...

I’m gonna give it a try. I’m gonna use the pucks how they’re intended. And I ordered one HLG 35 last night. I’m gonna put it over half my space and see what it does maybe for an hour or so each day. Just to check it out.

By the way, wish me luck on this one. I run an Aeroflow 60. I’ve ran 4, sometimes 5 at the most, different strains at the same time before. Ok, my last run was with MegaCrop. Don’t know if you guys are familiar with it. But it’s some dang good fertilizer, easy as heck. My first run with it all the way through. Excellent, under HPS. Now I’m under all LED. So lights and fert all different now. Plus, you’re gonna love this, I’ve got 14 different strains going this grow! All using the same amount of fertilizer all from the same tank. It’s gonna be fun.

I’ve got Greenpoint, Bodhi, Nature Farm, and Barneys Farm included. Next run, got some Shoreline waiting to go, and other stuff too.
Hell man, I’m pretty damn old. I got over sixty-five packs of unopened seed to still check out. With around 25 partial packs left. Figured I’d have to grow till I’m around 85 years old to get through’em all. Might as well get started now, right! Lol.

How big is your tent? I use megacrop also... Works like a charm... Yeah you have a lot of seeds... Time to start popping some!!!

Seriously guys, I already know you do. I just know. But life is pretty good. What other hobby, occupation, relaxation, or any name you might wanna put on it. What else gives you the overall enjoyment and satisfaction other than what we all do. Not much, maybe kids if you’ve got’em. But you won’t realize that, until they’re out of the house and gone. But to tell you the truth. At this time in my life I’m pretty happy, and satisfied too!

I’m in a room, I’m in a 10 X 10. Yep, a load of seeds. Really ridiculous to run this many different ones at once. I’m usually concerned somewhat about the yield. But not this time, I just wanna make it all the way through the run with no surprises!

Man, I put three 4000k boards in my veg room. It’s like a jungle now. I usually kept 4 or 5 momma plants to cut off of. I’ve got 16 momma’s now. And I’m sexing out another 25 in a closet to see who’s going and who’s staying. I’m on overload.

They gonna be some strong culling going on! Lol.

Until two yrs ago I had never bought a seed, ever. I’ve been growing for about 40 years! And may not buy to many more. So I’m gonna hang on to what I got. With all the medical benefits of marijuana being recognized! I may live to be a hundred.

Plus, half of’em came from the Greenpoint auction. I was addicted! I’m glad it’s gone for now. Lol. I’m gonna try to stay strong! Stay sober! Hell, I’m about broke now anyway!!

New space, new strains, upgraded light rigs, QBs and cobs are rocking it.
8*8 flowering tent, around 1350w in total with 5 more cobs that we need to setup with a frame before adding them in.
My favorite this run, lavender by Soma seeds - she's an absolute unit as they say
This is her just before we repotted in a 20 liter bag and moved her in for flower, July 12th



That's her 4 weeks later with her smaller sisters

2 tangie cuts, their mom is flowering in the same tent

2 liberty haze at the back, left is going down this week, right has 4-5 more weeks, few more lavanders at front. Tangie mom at bottom left

2 * ghost train haze, black mamba, lsd, ayawasa and pineapple chunk cuts that we put in last night
