Thanks! I'm going to give the Luminus a try.Osram SSL. Luminus is in testing. I think they have the best 470 currently.

What program was used to mock that up?Here's the layout plan so far for Hielan Vibes project; above was Jams and Jelly. Would rate HV's canopy area's at 37.5 w per sq.ft. (8 fixtures * 600) / 128 sq.ft. Actual fixture layouts are not confirmed yet as an even spread is paramount!
Rock on DIY'ers! Screw big Corporations! To the little GUY!

Thanks for sharing.First grow with my HLG 320w V2 Rspec in my 2x4 tent. Chopping these in a few days
...Wow.I actually clearly mentioned where the boards are from, and people get pissy about calling them quantum boards when they look the same and operate the same way. Sorry i didn't know HLG owns that name and it's fordibben to use that to mean any other LED boards, so can we move on already.
I pretty much agree with all this. Haha.If I were to do a 4x4 I would buy 6 qb288 singles and install 3 on angled aluminum and space them out. have 2 fixtures ( 3 boards each ). Having multiple singles I think is better than a double or triple heatsinks. Use like 2 HLG 320H drivers or 3 HLG 240H C2100. Having 3 drivers allows better redundancy in case of driver failure. As well the drivers can be turned down. Mount drivers remotely, better to keep the heat out of the tent ( unless of coarse you need the heat ). I have found some drivers as the 240h c2100 can get quite hot without air movement cranked up. Also you wouldn't knock your head on the fixture bending into ( more like " out of " ) the canopy for maintenance.
That's a cool fixture build.Working on a new tent setup ( finally ) .....
Since I lost room space to returning daughter ( millennials ... ) .... next time remember to move.
Anyways ... I decided to throw up a 48”x30”x60” Green Architecture Grow tent .
Deciding on using the Warp Core QB96 rig I built a little while back as main rig.
Presently powered 320w with 2 Agromax Sunblaster UV .
Note : UV more than likely is way overkill in this space but will use on a very tight “ on “ schedule
and is line switched / timer for now.
I ran a full power Burn In period to check temps prior to installing inline fans and ducting
which are ordered and waiting to show up. Temps plateau about 86° after 3 hours.
Driver and dimmer is removed to outside corner of tent.
I will utilize an 8” fan and controller and passive inlet duct.

Here is where some changes will happen with ONE of the Sunblaster lamps........
I plan to swap in a QB18 supplement strip ( 2 foot ) on a heatsink to SNAP into box clips that hold the Sunblaster. It’s measured perfectly to add in. This way I can change center area with either a SOLSTRIP X3 or QB18 . Or ? . Maybe that solstrip 5050 br from cutter ?....

Got to do some wire management as I hate wires hanging all over.
Have you used megacrop in rockwool? If so, how was it? If not, would you advise for or against it?Ok, so this post is a little non-sequitur but I figure you all might like it.
So I grow in soil, though now days I feed it with Megacrop. One day I was checking the tent and saw something growing in one of my 3.5" pots and it wasn't weed. It was very small and looked weird. I almost tosssed it, then decided, what the hell, i want to see what it might be. So I checked it a few days later and was amazed. There was just the one and I've no Idea where it came from, the soil is recycled indoor only soil so it didn't come from outdoors. Maybe a seed in my mustache fill in the pot....lol!
Well here she is, then and now

really puts me off. shame thatenvironmental factor of a product that won't breakdown for 1000 years.
really puts me off. shame that
I don't quite know what you mean by "similar to Jack's". Jack's has only the elemental nutrients, right? The macro and micro nutrients. MegaCrop has that, plus pretty much every possible beneficial additive one could possibly use as well. Haha. I love it. But I'm worried about all of this stuff like sugars and "organic inputs" that might sit in a res and get slimy, sludgy, stinky or anything like that - or in a recirculating system.I use 70% soil and 30% coco. I used rockwool just once years ago and didn't like the environmental factor of a product that won't breakdown for 1000 years.
Its should work well in rockwool however. Its similar ot Jack's and a lot of people use that in hydro.
Personally, its the only nutrient package I've ever used that I've been happy with. PH in a res is stable and the nutrients them selves are loved by my plants. I've had the best harvests ever using Megacrop.
Megracrop smells disgusting I prefer to spend the whole 2 minutes it takes to mix Jack's to avoid the smell and Jack's is cheaperI don't quite know what you mean by "similar to Jack's". ...Annnnd I've just ordered it. Thanks.
Are you in canada though? Where did you even get Jack's, if so?Megracrop smells disgusting I prefer to spend the whole 2 minutes it takes to mix Jack's to avoid the smell and Jack's is cheaper
i re use coco i do flush it though. Salt run off in general is another bad one, specially outdoors.I don't even change the soil in my pots.
yeah its grim!Megracrop smells disgusting
great on tomatoes also !!Man ... my nose must be fucked .... MC smells coffee like to me.
MC has a new formulation with smaller ball chunks and more cal .
Still got bags of Original MC to run thru first tho ...
