DIY with Quantum Boards

@TravisG13 your light layout is almost exactly what I am in the process of trying to build. How thick is the aluminum sheets that you are using?
I don't have any sheets I bought 132's a while back and they don't need heatsinks. They are all bolted to angle aluminum I'm not sure what thickness, whatever was available at my local hardware store.

"Holes in metal or another hard material will often have sharp edges.[5] Electrical wires, cord, rope, lacings, or other soft vulnerable material passing through the hole can become abraded or cut, or electrical insulation may break due to repeated flexing at the exit point of the casing of a junction box for example.[5] Rubber, plastic or plastic coated metal grommets are used to avoid this. Tight fitting rubber grommets can also prevent the entry of dirt, air, water, etc.[5] The smooth and sometimes soft inner surface of the grommet shields the wire from damage.[5]

Grommets are generally used whenever wires pass through punched or drilled sheet metal or plastic casings for this reason.[5] Molded and continuous strip grommets, also known as edge grommets, are manufactured in a wide variety of sizes and lengths expressly for this purpose; they are usually a single piece which can be inserted by hand. "

Yeah, I'm making this shit up. Sure... It's all part of my plan to be mean to some rando on the internet.

For taking issue with being called a jerk? Holy fuck.
Well I felt like seeing what you had to say. Honestly I felt like you came off as a jerk with both of your responses to me "all you did is create an opportune chance for a short" and "if it were solid it would have a grommet" or whatever. You really didn't intend those the way they came off?

If people are just going to be jerks id rather not deal with them.

I never said you made shit up what I took offence to is the way to chose to say it.

Whatever, you seem like a major drama queen.

Would it _kill_ you to put a drop of hot glue on it?
I have hot glue, didn't even occur to me to be an option, it's 20 minutes to the closest place to get grommets. Thanks for actually being helpful, sorry for being a "tone troll"

I still kinda think you were being a jerk about it though.

Since I don't have any plants in flower at the moment I drilled some holes in the side of my angle aluminum to make my light look a little nicer, it was pretty messy with the wires dangling on the side and I didn't like it.

I was wondering if any of you like connectors other than these wago's? I would like to make my light look a little less homemade but I would still like a connector at the board to take it apart there

Just put a dab of clear silicone in the hole around the wire. Easy peezy.
