4 boards on 2 HLG 240H-2100(A) is right around 600 watts at the wall and it's amazingly bright in a 4x4. 6 boards on 2 HLG 320H-2800(A) would be complete overkill.
How efficient will be the boards if they are run this hard?

If I run 6 boards on 2 HLG320-2800(A) how many watts will be each one of them and how will them be connected to the drivers?

Thanks in advance.

Great Tread, I'm also wondering when the new boards will be coming out.... I'm needing a light for lowering, and apparently this is the best light there is with these new boards

If running 3 boards on HLG 320H-2800 each board would be at roughly 110 watts each.

Also check out the samsung calculator. It's linked at the beginning of this thread.

I have a couple of questions before I order the rest of my parts as I have only DIY'd a couple of COB light setups. I would like to run 4 panels in my 5x5 tent over my 4x4 tray for flowering. I would like the panels to cover the full 5x5 area.

You divide 100 by the number of drivers you are using together. 50kohm for 2, 33kohm for 3, 25kohm for 4. So on.
I have two HLG 240H-2100(A) coming and I would like to run 4 panels. With the A model drivers, do I still hook a pot up to dim like I would on a B model driver? Since I plan on 2 drivers, if I would hook a pot up, I would use a 50k ohm pot correct? I may not need to dim as I only plan to flower with this light but adding a dimming option wouldn't hurt

Would the 4 boards on 2 HLG 240H-2100(A) be sufficient for my needs in a 5x5 tent? How would I space the panels?

Email me so that I can add u to the list of ppl who need 4000K. Don't want to disappoint you later.
There are only 24 boards in 4000K and 24 in 5000K and 10 already reserved.
Would I want a differnt light spectrum or stick with the 3000k for flowering?

4000k and 5000K boards are same price as 3000K $75
Slate 1 14.75
Slate 2 19.75
These should be stock around 25th.
I believe I would need the Slate 2 heatsinks to run passive air with my normal exhaust and smaller tent fans inside. Can I pre-order the 4 Panels matching heatsinks and/or any other items I would need?

Thank you

A is internal DIM. No potentiometer needed.

The 3000K is closer to 3500K is known in COB growing to be the best middle of the road for both veg and flower. 4K and 5K would be more specialized imo.

Yes 4 boards will cover a 5X5. If you get type A HLG 240 and the slate 2 heatsinks you can crank them up to 300 watts each driver. 2 HLG 240 will and 4 boards will do the job in this way.

What's the price breakdown for these boards? The cost for the diodes alone is only about $8.50, does board manufacturing really cost that much or is it more a matter of economies of scale? I've found another supplier - aceled - that is willing to do a similar board using S6 diodes. I need to do a run of 50, but the overall cost will be $54 per board wholesale. Where are you guys getting $21 of extra costs while using lower bin diodes?

Edit: Genuinely curious, not throwin shade over here.
