DIY with Quantum Boards

Hanging height and tent size? Thats two 175 w qbs youre hanging...
The 3 board qb 320 already needed 18 inches, this one is going to need even more afaik.
My man! Wow I didn't even consider minimum hanging height! Wow! I'm currently running the RSPEC XL320 but only at 200 watts! I can't turn it up. I'm still thinking about headspace. Wonder if remote mounting the driver would change that?

Does anyone have thoughts on running different fixtures in parallel off the same driver? Specifically I'm thinking about running two QB96's and one QB288 in parallel off a 240 driver.

My thought is pretty basic but I put fuses on each light because my driver isn't fixed current. Because I'm cheap.
The driver I have is a HLG-240H-54A, so I can fix both voltage and current. HLG specifically says not to mix boards in parallel on their website, so I should probably just stick with that. The two boards do have slightly different voltage ranges, but if I can dial them in, I'm not sure what the problem would be. Maybe I'll call HLG.

I just got off the phone with HLG, and they said it was fine, but to start at low voltage and slowly turn it up so nothing goes nuclear. They did say that the QB288 might suck up more of the voltage compared to the QB96's, but I'm ok with that.

Oh sorry I didn't notice you were using different boards so that must be why you were asking. Now I'm having to think harder than I can but it certainly seems like setting them to the same voltage is the best thing to do. I'm not even sure what the advice on dimming would be. I don't dim my lights, I just raise and lower them, or turn the drivers on and off.

Yeah, I already run them in parallel, but wanting to mix it up a bit and add a different board between the QB96's. QB288's new slightly lower voltage compared to QB96's, but still can both be run from the same driver, as they're pretty close.
