DNA'S "Lemon OG Kush" grow.....

Flush time, nothing but plain water from now on.........about 10 more days to go, much of the room, but not all, is in their final stages now. I quick dried a piece yesterday and I was "out of it" for the next 2-3 hours. Strange sativa buzz, more heady and less "eye" buzz this time. Euphoric and mellow, I was ripped for sure. Looking forward to the chop finely and mentally preparing myself for the 2 day marathon......

Awesome man, I'm hanging to hear your final yield, they are some big girls!!

Last piece I tried was from a sativa leaning plant, today I cut a piece from an indica leaning plant which I'll smoke and report on tonight at some time. I'll be starting the cut by next weekend which will be just short of 10 weeks by a day or two. I expect the room will take me 2 full days to trim up properly. There is much in the room that could probably be cut right now, but as Soma has said numerous times, "when you think they are done, wait another week!" There are a few BIGGGGGGGG cola'd plants that would appear just now to need more time, but I'm hoping they'll finish up quicker this week ( or I may move the few of them to another room for another 7-10 days) but I'll decide that when I can get to them for a good look-see when I start chopping. I'll put a bud pic up in a few hours, the one I'll be smoking later on.

First thing that stands out to me is the sativa leaning plants have a better buzz.........I'll only be saving those plants buds for personal use.......

I spent 10 hours cutting about 1/2 the room down today, actually just the tops (not the little stuff)............I'll take a pic of everything drying tomorrow night when I'm all done. Weight look real good so far, still not much "lemon" but more of a sweetness, maybe berry or fruit like. Still very kushy for sure. Excited to see what comes out after everything dries- also interesting not finding any "diesel gas" smell, which some have reported. Very heady buzz, from scraping the scissors. Extremely dense buds, and I'm keeping air-flow high to fight off any possible mold. Check back tomorrow evening.....

Sounds great mate, nice work!!

Finished up just before dinner, maybe 17 or 18 hours total of cutting by myself. Fortunately, most of the stuff was found in good-size cola's and not too much in the smaller stuff. If last crop Green Poison was 2 lbs., this has to be 3+ lbs minimum since there are more cola's and they are bigger, thicker and denser. Still a very heady high, not much body to it at all. I found 1 plant out of the whole room that was noticeably lemony, but smelling a lot of other things rather than citrus. Maybe it will come out more in the drying/curing process. I've put a de-humidifier in the area and a fan on slow to run 24/7 to halt any mold spores from growing.

Holy crap, that's a good haul mate!! Some really nice sized buds in there. Top work

Exactly 120 branches with dense kushy buds hanging there.....very happy with it, as it's really sticky and smelly. I think 4 or 5 of the plants could have used another week or so, but the Jack47 has been started and I need to get the room cleaned and up and running again. I have a bud pic I'll post tomorrow........ won't be surprised if it takes a bit more time to dry properly as the cola's are rock hard???

Forgot to mention, bottom cola's hanging are the more indica leaning plants and the top row is the more sativa leaning. Since the top ones are so large, some of them could have used a bit more time. But they'll be fine, they still look great.

Good stuff man, there is definitely a lot there. Those big colas look pretty dense!
Yeah, I'd say they'll take a little longer to dry.

Here's my summary...........

Ordered 30 seeds of Lemon OG Kush, started them all, 28 popped and saved the best 24. An easy grow early up until flowering. Basic fertilizing program, nothing special to report in any way. I vegged for 28 days.....

Flowering was a different story. Although DNA reports the strain stays short, which is one of the reasons I picked it, the Lemon Skunk pheno grew very tall. I even pinched the plants at 3 weeks too. The OG #18 Kush pheno's stayed 3.5-4 ft. tall, very manageable and done 7-10 earlier. The Lemon side is very skunk like, tall, loads of resin, average bud density at best, and took at least 70 days to finish, another week would probably improve it. The Kush side has dense buds, large cola's, and a spicey deep kushy taste and aroma.

Final weight was 46 oz., as I ended with up with 23 plants- so exactly 2 oz per plant. The kush plants probably yielded around 2.5 oz per, and the lemon side 1.5 oz per plant BUT not all of them. So the the sativa side plants had monster center cola's. Pretty good yield overall in my setup......one plant was attacked by mites and was removed and killed off. No other mite damage evident in the room. And 1 plant, on it's main stem, had a clump of male balls with a small pollen release. I have found a few seeds so far, but it's not an issue. It was on one of the Lemon Skunk pheno's.

The money shot: The Lemon pheno's are the keepers......the high is "bright", clear, up with no body to it at all. Until tonight, I thought the "lemon" thing was bullshit, thinking it was more of a berry/fruity/sweetness than lemon. It's only been 8 days of drying, and the smells and tastes are still developing. They are encrusted with resin, great bag appeal for sure. Tonight's bud was very citrusy and noticeably lemony, which I was happy to see. Great taste and smell, good buzz on 1 hit.

On the kushy side, 2/3 of the plants leaned this way. Similar to the OG #18 I grew before, very good weight, done around 9+ weeks, easy to grow and keep healthy. The high is only so-so, a bit confusing with maybe a bit more body too it. Nothing special.

It's not a strain I would do again, but I sure my people will love it. It's like a different surprise in each bud, some kushy, some citrusy, some airy, some dense, etc., etc. If you are looking for the "lemony" pheno, just grow the straight Lemon Skunk and be done with it. If you're looking for more sativa stuff- I'd look for Eskobar's stuff as his sativa stuff is much better all around. And as kushes go, so-so.

Some individual bud pic's up tomorrow. And on to Sweet Seeds "Jack47" FV.

Wow man, that's a great yield, well done!!
Sounds like it's some good smoke too mate, pity the kush pheno didn't knock you over! Looking forward to the Jack 47 grow!!

I haven't forgotten about some bud pic's, I'll get to it in a day or two.

Major Update: I was wayyyyyyyy off in my numbers...not sure what happened but after seeing some friends, I re-weighed everything and my actual final count was 58 oz ( i had said 46 oz previously). I must have forgot to add the weight on 1 of the large tupperware containers. The density of the cola's really help the weight, that's for sure. And I also found a pheno within the "indica" leaning plants that's more up to snuff, so I'll keep on testing everything for more surprises. It's definitely one of the best yielding strains I've done, maybe a 9/10 yield wise but sadly, if you average it all out- I'd only give it an 8 or 8.2510 potency wise. I'm a bit more critical than most though,,,,,,

Ha ha holy crap, that makes it a monster yield mate! Well done. Pity about the potency overall. I'm sure your peeps will still love it!!
