do i need an airconditioner if i aircool the lights?

i am building an 8 light room and wanted to know if aircooling is good enough and i just need an exhaust or do i need an air conditioner?

If your talking 8K than your going to need a air conditioner . you might get by keeping the room below 90 but if you would like to hit 77 than you will need one .

depends on these factors: time running lights; ambient outside temps; how much air you move,

if i flower in the summer indoors i play with fire . and i am at 7200 ft now if i run a ac unit my 8 light grows did much better . i aircool the hoods sealed then ac the room and add co2 at 1000pm. sealed so to speak . works best in winter ...

i am planning to do 600 watts but are 1000's better? what a/c would you recommend me using? and for moving air i was thinking about moving a 6 inch inline fan from the air outside and 1 between each 2 lights so it would be inline fan-------- ----light----inlinefan----light-----light------inline fan-----light for each side so there will be a good amount of air moving through the lights i picked cooltubes because the airflow looks the the best and i want a 6 inch inline or 4 inch inline with a carbon filter or do you recommend an 8 inch inline with a carbon filter and which carbon filter do you recommend for the odor removal of the great ganja

what do you think about that? does anyone thing thats a good set up but i want to know do i need to move air out of the room?

i use a 12 inch fan for smell scrubbing
i pull all air from the end of my runs ---fan---light--light----air
with no ac yes you must exchange air

does that do anything to your co2 though?

of course it removes co2 so if you dont get an ac no reson for co2 imho..

yea which air conditioner would you recommend for an 8 light room thats aircooled how many btu's and i want the co2 for my plants so how would you exhaust the room if you dont want the co2 to go out and how bout the smell?

20000 btu mini split
oversize so it only cycles every hour
sealed means no smell out cuz no air excange
scrubber in vegging room

You really can't "seal" a typical room. Houses just aren't airtight. But you can come close to it. Weatherstripping on doors and windows, heat and air ducts closed and sealed with tape. Air cooled hoods leak more than you might suspect, duct work, too. Careful use of tape and sealing compound help. A sealed room necessitates co2 augmentation and air conditioning. A scrubber is needed sealed or unsealed. You may need a dehumidifier in addition to the A/C. I've seen people cover the entire room with Panda film and duct tape. I don't. You still need access so there's the doorway that's going to leak. If there's no pressure difference inside to outside, leakage will be minimal. Air cooling your lights will cause a pressure differential if you don't carefully seal the hoods and duct work associated with them.

There should be a thermostat built into the A/C. You can also use a remote thermostat(better) to control the A/C. Just be sure the A/C can restart automatically after a power loss. Some don't. I have a Sentinal controller that controls my A/C, dehumidifier, and co2. It can control a heater, too, but I don't need one.

If your dealing with high temps I had these cool a/c units that I hooked into my inline fan hood system. The heat was killing me with 4 inline fans pumping to central a/c unit. So I bought these http://www.homedepot.ca/product/8000-btu-portable-air-conditioner/826821

some have dehumidifier settings too which was uber sick cause it brought all my temps and humidities to par almost spot on. You'll have to play with the settings. Also I had to get a vent couple for the ac unit the sizes didn't match.
