how can one love an omnipotent creature that seems to revel in the torment of its creations? the god of the abrahamic faiths seems to be nothing more than a petulant child, toying with his massive ant farm and waiting to see what new abomination his latest trials will spawn. this "loving" god demands respect without even showing its face and deems all those who doubt its existence worthy of nothing less than eternal torment. considering this deity's uncaring attitude toward the greatest of his creations, atheism seems the most loving course. better to deny this monster's very existence than to waste one's life despising it for its callous treatment of those under its care or to trade love for such obvious disregard.
