Something like that feeling I would think, IP. My thought is that "control", or the lack thereof is the cause.

If I haven't smoked in a long time and smoke it tends to be overwhelming and some anxiety might come with it depending on the situation.

But after I get back in the grove than it becomes more pleasureable. I love smoking bud.

Smoking excessively can sometimes make me anxious, but vaporizing is different for me, somehow. Our volcano never makes me paranoid, like pipes and papers can.

I have come to learn that usually panic attacks come from a fear that has been built up so all you need to do it locate what exactly is causing you to freak out and then you can control it easily

been smokion many many years but just recently in the last year started suffering panik attacks , they arent pleasent and can be really hard to snap out of . it deffinately is strain related ,i can now tell after a couple of pulls on a joint, wether its the kind of weed that does it to me ,and i wont continue smoking it, if it is .
my panic attacks start with bad feelings and anxiety, about something in my life, then it goes to thinking about my health , and then i start thinking about my breathing and it feels like i cant breath properely , then i think about my heart and start to think i might just drop dead at any moment . it sounds rediculous now , but when its happening its really bad and really real .
sometimes i can snap myself out of it by distracting myself with something else but most of the time this dosent work ,so ive found walking away and being on my own helps calm me down.
i had to stop smoking weed at work recently coz i had a big panic attack, i can only smoke resin at work now coz thats one thing ive never had a panic attack from .

Indica strains are the least likely to give you panic attacks.
If you smoke too much in one sesh it can give you a panic attack.
I used to get them when I first started smoking, since I didn't have any tolerance back then.
Just take it slow and RELAX.

panic attacks is why i dont smoke anymore. (lol i know why am i growing and why am i on a pot forum).
but i honestly cant smoke any more. i always feel like shit the next morning and sometimes have random panic attacks and since Im already on 'pharmaceuticals' for the panic issues it just seems like a better idea to enjoy weed by watching my family smoke it. ROFL.
wow sorry to hear about this have you tried not doing the pills.

pot keeps me down to a normal. hahh if that makes any sence

for me i like always changing strains

I used to get them all the time! My heart would race, my mouth would dry up, eyes would dilate, all my muscles would tense up, everything would suck, I would even make myself blackout when it went on for too long! until I realized what they were and just told myself I was only doing this to myself, and that it wasn't happening, and it would stop. It still happens occasionally, but I can usually stop it in the first 5 seconds.
What I want to know is if you can make yourself have a panic attack, can you do the opposite?

I don't think people "make themself have panic attacks" on purpose. Who would want to do that?

And I don't think someone can really feel like that on purpose. Its more like a trapped feeling where You feel like everyone is watching You and they can see Your heart beating and neverousness. I used to get them bad. It was because I came from a bad family with violence and trama :( And the reason why it gets scary and intensifies is because its more of an uncontrollable thing.

So I don't think people can make theirselves have a genuine panic attack and I don't think people can snap out of them so easily either. Sometimes I used to have to get some fresh air or something, to take Myself out of that situation.

Just My humble opinions.

I have social anxiety disorder and I don't get it treated cuz I don't have health insurance so I get panic attacks sometimes when I have to speak in front of a group. Never got one from smoking though.

I don't know man, I went to counseling for over 5 years because of this, it happened almost daily for at least 2 years, I was told by all of my councilors and psychiatrists they were panic attacks, they may be wrong though, I thought they were wrong about a lot of things, so why not.

You are right, I can't make them happen on will, I have to genuinely think something panic worthy; is, has, or will happen.
