now water only may decrease their chlorophyll content making the smoke less harsh and hay'y
this has always been my response to people's perception of flushed pot being smoother.... by beginning the process of breaking down chlorophyll through plant starvation you are essentially jump starting things that would otherwise happen during drying/curing. it has nothing to do with 'evil nutes in mah weedz!' I taper my ec down in the last week to 10 days of flower, but I feed to the end and my buds are plenty smooth. it's all about the dry.

Have you grown organic buds?

on ILGM it says it’s an 8 week flowering strain
And I switched to flower on the November 1st
So why would it take so long to reach harvest date? I guess it’s just a recommendation .. or just took a week or 2 to really get into flowering when switching
Don't believe a word that breeders tell you about yield or the time to harvest. They know that people want the maximum amount of weed in the shortest possible time, so that is what they tell you. There are so many variables that will affect the harvest time, the only true answer is that it will be ready when it is ready. That weed is far from ready.

yeah might’ve jumped the gun on harvesting plans since it’s my first successful grow (no pm issues or bud rot) , so should I just go ahead and top dress till I’m almost at the amount of amber trichromes?
Let’s say I’m almost to the amount of amber trichs tht I want ,

1#scenario: stop top dressing and let it yellow out n hopefully line up with the amount of trichs I want amber ..

2. Or start just plain water when Almost reaching the % of amber trichromes,& keep using plain water & cut it down when I get the amber trichs I’m looking for?

but anyways THANKS TO EVERYONE FOR YOUR INPUT , I always keep an open mind being a begginer and do my own research and see how it works for me I’m still learning everyday and won’t ever stop , I beleive no matter how skilled you are there’s always something to learn and not any one way is is the absolute only correct way of doing things like they.

How would you possibly be able to call that a fact? I couldnt tell you how 99% of what i have smoked was grown.
Never called anything a fact. That's just from personal experience. True, I didn't know how most was grown, but the tastiest buds were organic. The first time I really got tasty weed was from some hippies from Humboldt that did organic. They had Purple Kush. The smoke always seems smoother too.

I would like to try out some other people's salt grows and see if I could find some that changes my mind. I'm not trying to start a big debate. Just stating what my experience has been.

I think flushing is total nonsense.

TBH I have no experience of top dressing. Whilst I don't think flushing is a thing I do believe in the law of diminishing returns. Once I hit week 8 I back off my nutes by 50% and give only plain water for the last week. Basically I have reached a point where it makes no difference so I stop the nutes.

I'd top dress half the amount you usually would and then just water normally till the end.

So it’s almost time to harvest ,
I’ve been using dr.earth ferts , fish emulsion and mor bloom throughout the grow ..

I’m gonna be flushing or just water till I get some good runoff, I know there’s a lot of talk on this subject on why it isn’t needed but I’m gonna be trying it out to see myself ..

I’d like to use molasses for the flush , how much would I use ? 1tbs per gallon ?
mans should I do the first half plain water and the last 2 gallons with molasses?

just an experiment for my own learning so don’t get your panties ina bunch ..

I’ve stopped top dressing and the emulsions just been feeding plain water ,
It’s started fading and u can tell it’s gonna be turning yellow(the fan leaves)

here are some pics of the buds , they are definitely cloudy white with trichs on the main buds (not the sugar leaves) are turning amber no more than 5% amber ones possibly also they look cloudy white crystals and not clear when just looking at it wit

Outdoor plant should I top ?
I have a skywalker og vegging outdoors
i Defoliated/lollipopped&LST . . I removed all lower growth and left about 3-4 nodes on each branch that .. I haven’t don’t no topping but I’m thinking of doing it ..

should I top every branch and the main stalk ? Here’s some pics and I’ll mark where I want to top on the main stalk ..so the red Line is where I’ll top and the shoots circled blue will blow up .. does this sound like a good idea I think so

Figured this would turn into a shit storm. Anyways, I'd say they need 3-4 more weeks. I wouldn't give them any more N now, just P and K for the most part. So I'd probably just keep feeding MorBloom for like another week or 2. But plain water works too since you top dressed with DTE. Then you could do plain water until the end, or add molasses if you want.

I don't flush personally but if you want to try it go for it. I usually stop top dressing at like 3-4 weeks before harvest. Then just give plain water til the end. But I usually just give mine plain water the whole time. Occasionally I add yucca, humic acid, and little extra stuff like that.

If you have 2 plants you could try the molasses flush on one and not the other. You're plants look though great man.

Really? Well it’s better than being late and not having good tasting buds ..
but the trichs on the actual buds are starting to turn amber
I say, go for it and flush with molasses!

But about the "better than being late and not having good tasting buds..", there is a thread around here called "How far can ripeness be pushed" or something like that, where people let their plants flower for several weeks above their normal harvest time, and they say that high and taste doesn't change much, and Im telling about plants being harvested on week 20 of flowering. So its pretty hard to harvesting late and not having good tasting bud.
