Hey Peop!
Just thought i would share my experience with both cuts as i am a fan of Bubba Kush.
I have given up on seeds because i have never found anything interesting even with S1. All crap and a waste of money in my experience. Wanna find something good you better get at least 10 packs of the same strain and not 1 or 2 pack of each like i have been doing for the past 20 years. Anyways here they are. Both 2 weeks into flower and i will try to update every week from now on till harvest.

The matt burger cut is a bit bigger but i got that cut before the other one and i topped the pre98. The burger cut seems to stretch a bit more than the pre98.I will try to get the next pictures As soon as tge lights turn on so we don’t have a red spectrum in the photos because of the HPS.

I just chopped dookie's pre-98 yesterday. Not the prettiest plant, and it isn't going to yield much. She smells wonderful though. I think recently he said it's not the coffee cut? I don't get any coffee smells off mine. It's something more earth, buttery, savory. Hard to describe and very unique. I haven't smelled anything like it before.

honestly I only smoke for taste so as long as the pre98 has stronger bubba like terps, i'll be keeping her around. Is this going to be your first time smoking bubba?
Terps are hard to describe. I've smoke tons of different strains in my life and never taste any vanilla in any of them. Not even when I grew the ice cream. even though vanilla is supposed to be present. I hate vanilla i could not stand smoking a strain that tastes like it.

For me some strains don't need to but a devastating punch.....however; the one and ONLY time that I had Pre98 it was phenomenal....very strong yet euphoric body high; but definitely sleep inducing....tasted like chocolate coffee and hash....moreso than other strains with the same flavor profile....and for me; that makes it something I want everyday lol....that's why I'm growing it now because there's a lot of fake pre98 where I live and even those aren't around often - its all cookies and kush....and sours....and in the past 2 years a lot of haze (which is my favorite)

Bubba never hit that hard for me either, it does taste good though

I was under the impression Matt Berger was the one who found what he called bubba, a short indica. Then either bubba was crossed on purpose or accidental to make bubba kush? Was he not the founding father? In the passed all that was talked about was pre 98 as far as the first bubba. Lots of S1s out there bomb threat, katsu. Etc.
I just picked up the Matt’s cut last fall.
Just poping some S1s and a few fem crosses I did with it. MTF, TK, ECSD res etc.

She’s just finishing a F cross of purple Hindu kush BX4 AKBB chucked 4 males almost done. That should be interesting x.

Here are a couple MTF (AKBB) F1, Matt clones and an s1 in compost.

Thats sad to hear from a guy who likes to smoke for the taste. High comes second but even then, I like to be able to function after a joint. Maybe its a good thing though cause I'd be chain smoking like a cigarete smoker lol
