    Here is a Christian smokers' thread.
    There's a s£$t load of threads to run the Bible beaters down (and good job too!)
    But here's a thread to explore Christianity...
    Exclusively!!
    With a scriptural reference, whether Biblical, Apocryphal... and all the 700+ lost books?....Whatever!
    But for those with a "Christ like mind"
    So, please, if you want to beat a Person of the Book; choose another thread?

    When my Mother died and, later, when my son died I couldn't see the Crucifix as Christ.
    All the time I was grieving I could see both their deaths as representative of the death of Christ
    Every death a little crucifixion....

I absolutely agree with you. The bible is supposed to be "inspired" by God. I think that most if not all of it was written to control the masses. "You don't want to be rich, because YOUR riches are in heaven." How fkn convenient? "Submit to authority because it was appointed by God!" Convenient also. If Jesus Christ did exist I don't think he would have intended that people submit themselves to a corrupt governent that infringes on our rights to suit the needs of the rich and powerful.

...is this an internal law? To me, governing authorities are thoughts that benefit the all. 'To incur judgement' is to follow the ego / shadow and succumb to that which it brings...

There's a subtle tie-in to karma in this statement :)

In my humble opinion, at the end of the day, and our lives as we know them, we are all born into sin and shaped in iniquity. One thing is CERTAIN, we will die sinners for we can never be perfect. Jesus was the only Perfect spirit, in the form of a man, to walk this earth. Hopefully throughout our life's journey, we can come closer to being less of a sinner. The "Sins List" should be rather short as we learn God's way.

Christ knew I would overindulge, however, I have, at least, the faith of a mustard seed in His dying for my sins. In my eye the deal is sweet, he knows that I know, that I like smoking weed VERY much and will do so till my dying day. I still believe, even when I'm smoking!! Just my $.02.

Nothing and no one is perfect. If "god" was perfect then that means he has stopped learning and stopped evolving. If "god" stopped learning and evolving then that means that this piece of shit world is as good as it gets, that is a scary thought. So I believe that "god" is more like man than we think, "god" thinks, learns, and evolves just like we do.

On either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare 12 manner of fruits, and yielding her fruit every month; and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations. (Revelations 22:1-2) A gift from God.

but im catholic so Christians might see it a lil different lol

I am not a christian but I do know that without the intervention of a superior being I'll certainly remain dead for the rest of eternity. Enjoy life and allow others to enjoy their lives also. simple
