doublejj's BIG 2014 greenhouse adventure Reloaded......

We chose these off breeds of chickens because they are not as hi-bred'ized for commercial purposes so they have less early health issues & tend to live longer. Most common commercial birds get turned over every 2 years so they aren't breed for longevity. They are breed for production. Our chickens may not lay as many eggs each year, however they should live longer with less health issues.

lol.. That's a good thing. It gets especially bad around September when they're trying to find a place to hold up through winter.. The east side of my house gets covered in hundreds if not thousands of those damn things. I found some larvae in my veggie garden last night but mainly all over my potatoes.

i had two on two differant plants today. both dead now

They got about a quarter of my veggie garden last year before I knew that they were a problem. When they're young they look a lot like ladybugs if you just glance at them.
I'd rather them eat my tomatoes over my cannabis. Tomatoes are cheap and I always have so many I can't even give them away.
