This is the only MMJ doc I can find. Has anyone went to her? What doctor did you go to? I have GI issues and would like to get my card.

She's not bad as long as you have everything in order... Go through all the previsit check lists etc... make sure your condition is one of those listed and you'll be all set... also make sure to bring the $150 cash office visit... My gf has MS and was in and out in less than 30 minutes.. However you won't get your card on the spot, you have to go through consumer protection etc.. but you'll have it in a couple weeks as long as your condition is one listed... It basically only gives you protection from getting arrested with 2.5oz's or less but that's worth it IMO...

Good luck...

I saw her yesterday and yes, she certified me (yay!), however... She's HIGHLY unprofessional and even rude. I have PTSD and apparently that's not something she's used to dealing with because due to my high anxiety and how it affects my behavior, she accused me of being high right then and there, which I was not. When she asked me HOW I got PTSD she snickered and said "really?"... yes, sever child abuse CAN give you PTSD and I still have it nearly 30 years later. She treated me with an absolute intolerance for anxiety problems (which is part of what brought me to seek this prescription in the first place!) only making things worse for me while in the room with her... All in all she really treated me like an asshole. Did NOT talk about marijuana AT ALL, not even how it helps me or anything. After interrogating me and feeling assured that I don't use intravenous drugs she just said "ok, im gonna certify you, here's what you have to do next"... I won't deal with her again when it comes time to renew. She's an easy prescription, but that's not a good thing for those of us who REALLY benefit medically from cannabis as I believe she will be part of where the medical marijuana program will develop a bad reputation.

Sorry to hear that, Ametheus. I was hoping she would be a bit more compassionate, being a health care professional.
Or at least follow the new MMJ law and discuss the benefits and drawbacks of palliative MMJ use.
I was hoping to perhaps see her when the restrictions lessen and Anxiety/Panic Disorder conditions where amended to the list...
But I've the feeling she'd trigger an attack in the kind of setting you described.
Glad you got your meds, and if you need to designate a care giver let me know.

AS a patient you have the right to designate an individual as a caregiver to provide your medicine for you.
Being in the unique position of this medicine being an unadulterated plant, you can obtain your medicine in two ways:
Go to a dispensary much like with other meds, think of it like going to a headie pharmacy.
OR, you can designate a caregiver to grow for you, based on the script and your monthly needs.
In CT, there is no patient growing rights. So you cant provide your own meds, and presently we don't have any Dispensary Certs even handed out yet. Let alone someone breaking ground on setting up one. You have your card, now you have to find somebody to get you your meds.

weird because I saw her last week. I have PTSD. I did four trips to Iraq along with being blown up by a IED. I gave her all my paper work along with proof of my PTSD.

1hr later she approved me. She was great!
